Fondue
Fondue is a handsome little dude, and he knows it! He normally has long hair but he’s clipped up to stay a little cleaner in the Utah sand. He’d be a great fit for a quiet home with some previous dog experience, as he can take a while to warm up at the beginning and doesn’t always want to be handled by people he doesn’t know. He loves other dogs and one of his favorite things is to play with his run mates. He would also probably play with cats if they were willing. He’s medium energy and will go on walks or do tricks and then settle down for a nice cuddle. He loves to learn new things and is an eager student. In order to make sure it’s the right fit, Fondue would like to meet his adopters prior to going home so a sanctuary visit will be required.
Ace
Ace is a friendly guy who generally enjoys hanging out with his people. He also loves other dogs and will zoom around and chase with them. He had a rough start in life and because of this has shown some unpredictable behaviors. He would feel most comfortable in an adult-only home that has dog experience and understands his needs. He’s a young guy, born in 2016 so he has a long life ahead of him and is looking for his forever home where he can have consistency and feel safe.
Roper
Roper is a really fun dog underneath all his uncertainty. He seems to have slightly compromised vision, so sometimes he approaches people with caution. At other times he is extroverted, bouncy and playful, and he is funny and endearing with his goofiness. Roper is shy and fearful of strangers, and he can be reactive to them when he is behind a barrier such as a fence. It’s usually best to meet him while he’s out walking on a leash. Once he gets comfortable with people, he loves to be doted on and to play. Roper was born in 2012 and came to Best Friends from a rescue organization that was closing its doors. At Dogtown he is working on meeting new people with more confidence, and he is having play dates with other dogs to practice his dog skills. Roper would love to go home with a person or family who can continue helping him build his confidence.
Zula
If Zula could talk, she’d tell you, “Girls just wanna have fun!” This gorgeous, longhaired Torbie has a goofy side that shines through when she plays with other kitties or wakes up from a nap and looks at you with her tongue sticking out. (Don’t worry; there’s nothing wrong with her mouth. She’s just a character!) Born in 2010, Zula is in good health. When she first arrived at the Sanctuary from an Arizona rescue group, she accepted pets while she was inside a cat carrier or tower. Now that she’s got the run of the place, she’d rather be scatting about. But she’s so adorable that you just want to snuggle her ? something her caregivers hope may be possible someday. Could you be the one to embrace Zula someday?
Caille
Caille is usually shy at first. She is scared when meeting new people and introductions cannot be rushed. She does not like other cats, either; she will hiss and growl to protect her space. Born in 2013, Caille came from a rescue organization in California. She is prone to getting hairballs, so we give her hairball paste every few days. Caille has a beautiful face, but you can see sadness in her eyes. She’s hoping someone will find her who has the patience to allow her amazing self to come out.
Rosie
Rosie is a shy girl who mostly keeps to herself. She’s the same way with other cats unless they approach her first. Born in 2014, she came from a shelter in California. Rosie is a beautiful girl who will allow petting and even flip over for belly rubs once she’s learned to trust you. Getting her to trust you will take time and dedication, but if she’s given that, you’ll be rewarded with a soul mate forever.

Diegos
Do you have time for a senior dog? Diegos is a well mannered sweet old boy. In his mind, he is still a young pup that loves to fetch. He has shown to be very calm and relaxed. He enjoys short walks here and there. He has a large growth over his right eye that has been see by a veterinarian. He also has some “old age” in his back hips but that doesn’t stop him from running and playing but he should not be climbing steps. His adoption fee is $30.
Stella
Stella is a sweet playful girl. She is a little over a year. She has shown to be very friendly and loves to play with squeaky toys. She would make an amazing pet for anyone. She is shy at first then is close to your side and wants to be with you. Her adoption fee is $60.
Max
Max is a sweet boy, that enjoys walks, and loves to play with his toys. He is a big boy, so a home with a fenced yard where he can run around would be best. He is approximately 3 years old and very active. He bonds quickly and is very lovely. His adoption fee is $60.
Koda
Koda is an extra-large boy and is on diet and exercise program. He has lost over 31 pounds since coming to shelter. His blood work is normal. Koda loves being with people, going for long walks and playing with toys. He is a people pleaser. His adoption fee is $60.
Tovi
Tovi’s owners could not care for him. He is a sweet friendly little dog who loves being with people and having a warm safe place to live. He needs to learn house training and basic commands. He does well on a leash. His adoption fee is $60.
Fera
Fera is 5 years old. Her owner had no place to stay so she had to surrender this dog. She has lived in a home for 5 years and is trained to use pee pads. She is used to a quiet environment. She is doing well going outside to play and to go to the bathroom. She is a very calm and friendly girl. Her adoption fee is $60.
Kiki Dee
Kiki Dee needs a quieter atmosphere and would appreciate a home with adults only or calm older children. She is low maintenance, low fuss, and is the perfect housemate. She would do best as the only cat in the home as she doesn’t like a lot of competition for her affection. She is quite striking in her looks with a beautiful soft coat. The senior Special Adoption fee is $20.

Atlas
Atlas may have been the runt of the litter but he will prove to you that he’s big enough to fill your heart! This darling little guy will be looking for his foster-to-adopt home in just a few more weeks. BAM is taking applications on him at this time so he will be ready to go when the time comes. He is a German Shepherd blend (they are told Catahoula Leopard Dog). Because he is not neutered yet, his placement must be local. His adoption fee is $150 and he will be neutered and current on age-appropriate vaccinations. To find out more about Atlas call or text Julie at (435) 773-5209.
Mahogany
Mahogany is the last of her litter still awaiting her forever home. She is 7 weeks old and will be placed in foster to adopt homes until old enough to be spayed at which point her adoption will become final. For that reason, she will not be placed out of our area. Her mom is a German Shepherd and they are told dad was a brindle Boxer. To meet Mahogany or find out more about the adoption process, call or text Julie at (435) 773-5209.
Missy
Missy is a gorgeous blue Cane Corso/Pit blend who was very reserved when she first joined BAM but has begun to come out of her shell in foster care. They are sure this means that an adoptive home would get to see even more of her personality shine. Missy would love a person or family that she didn’t have to share with another dog. However, it may just be that she prefers to be the only girl dog in the home, so if you have a male dog and would like to introduce them, BAM can facilitate that. Missy might look tough but deep down she is just a softy that loves to give kisses and cuddles. She also loves to go on walks and car rides and gets a little sad when you leave her behind. She is very choosy on who her furry house companions are because she likes a lot of love so she does best being the only dog. However, she doesn’t mind other dogs visiting. Missy is 100% potty trained and would be best with older children because she needs a quiet environment. She is a wonderful dog who will be a great addition to someone’s family. Missy is a medium dog with a lot of muscle, so she would be a good exercise companion and it would help her stay fit too. To find out more about Missy text or call Julie at (435) 773-5209. Missy’s adoption fee is $125.
Barry
Were you widowed by a grumpy old man? Have you been looking to add another to your life since his passing? Have we got the dog for you! In all seriousness, little Barry has good reason to be grumpy. He came to BAM with a broken pelvis from a California shelter. Since being BAM’s care, the poor guy has had to deal with puppies in his space, big dogs who don’t respect him and–adding insult to injury–he now has kidney stones! BAM wants the old guy to catch a break and live out the remainder of his life with someone he can find solace and love. Barry loves to rub his back on the floor and wiggle and loves to have belly rubs. He enjoys certain members of BAM’s team while others simply aren’t his cup of tea. To find out more about Barry, meet him and see if he’s a match for you text or call Julie at (435) 773-5209.
Dom
Dom is the most lovable puppy-dog-eyed Beagle/Bassett Hound blend you’ll ever meet. This low-rider came to live at That BAM Place while suffering from Cherry Eye (it doesn’t look great but is mostly cosmetic) but that is being corrected and, after that, he’ll be ready for his new family. Dom has clearly lived in a home before and has pretty impressive manners (although he does get up on BAM’s sofa and is still working on the dog door). Though Dom doesn’t bay like a hound, he has a bit of separation anxiety at the adoption center when he has to be put in his kennel while other dogs are out. This would likely be different in a home environment and we do offer trial placements to make sure he is right for you and your home. Dom does not do well with young children. Although Dom gets along with the wide variety of dogs they have in residence with him (often napping with the smallest 6-pound dog), he would enjoy being an only dog as he prefers to be with people over dogs if given the choice. To find out more about Dom or arrange a meeting with him, contact Julie at (435) 773-5209 by texting or calling. His adoption fee is $125.
Sabrina
After being hit by a car, little Sabrina spent 8 weeks in a cast while her bones healed. She’s 10 years old but loves to adventure by car, trail, or river. Snuggles are her favorite, but she’s not a couch potato. Sabrina lives with several big dogs and enjoys their company. Never once have they heard her bark. Sabrina would be great in any home but, even with her cast off, she will still need tender care until her bones are strong. Sabrina does require daily medication for an enlarged heart but nothing stops this little dog from living life to its fullest. They are still working on house training, but the process is slow due to her broken bones. Sabrina sleeps through the night without urinating and does not urinate on the carpet but will on tile. Her cast may be at fault, and now with it removed, she’ll be more agile and move more easily. To meet Sabrina or find out more about her, contact Andrea or A.J. at (612) 756-2374. Sabrina’s adoption fee is $100 and she is also eligible for their Seniors Helping Seniors Program.
