Hunter
Hunter will longingly look deep into your eyes with his striking blue eyes. He enjoys playing with toys and chewing on bones. Hunter would do best in a home with older children or an adult only home. He enjoys spending time outside and is always on a mission during his walks. Make arrangements to meet your new adventure buddy today!
Tamarin
Tamarin is an adorable puppy that had needs a patient and understanding adopter. He is very shy and still getting comfortable around people. We believe Tamarin would benefit greatly from having another dog in the home. A dog that could help him feel more comfortable and show him the ropes. Tamarin needs an adopter that is willing to give him time to adjust and learn about life in a home. We know there is a playful puppy in there and we think the right home will bring out that side of him. He isn’t comfortable receiving affection from people and doesn’t walk on a leash yet. If you are looking for a shy dog that needs some love and a safe place to blossom, Tamarin may be the right pup for you.
Josh
Josh is a big goofy boy with lots of energy and lots of love to give. Josh loves attention and soft toys. He can forget how strong he is at times and be a little too enthusiastic when greeting, but he’s attentive to his people and has been enjoying working on his manners. He loves being active especially playing in water and hiking so he’d be a good partner for someone looking for an adventure buddy. Josh likes to be the center of attention so would prefer to live in a house with no other pets so he can receive all the love!
Squash
Squash is a young fella that arrived in 2018 from Enoch, UT. He gets along great with his feline roommates, loves attention, loves treats, loves laps, being held, and is usually the first at the door to greet you. He has been on many sleepovers and anyone that meets him falls instantly in love. He is FIV+ which sounds scarier than it is but rest assured he is happy and healthy and can live like any other cat. While he does have some challenges don’t let that stop you from giving this guy a chance, you will not regret it.
Fozzy
Fozzy is a cuddly teddy bear who can never get enough attention. If he isn’t waiting by the door he will come running when anyone enters the room. He doesn’t like to share the attention with other cats and would prefer a home with humans only, or with shyer, non-dominant cats whom he is happy to snuggle with when the humans are away. If you have lots of time for cuddles come and meet Fozzy.
Ken
This talkative and friendly boy is the ultimate lap cat! Ken is a gentle, precious, and cuddly little love-bug. Chai is approximately 4–5 months old and will be available LOCALLY ONLY as a foster-to-adopt after she has had her second round of puppy shots. Once she has been spayed, her adoption will be completed. Chai is currently in a foster home. Georgia
Sweet Georgia is a three-year-old gentle, kind, mellow love of a girl who would give anything to find someone special to love her back. Being part Catahoula, she has the most interesting coloring. She could disappear in a pile of autumn leaves. Georgia is house trained and gets along well with other respectful dogs (cats–not so much). She loves to cuddle and will let you pet her forever; almost like she’s never been petted before. Although we don’t know here attitude towards children, we suspect she would be wonderful. Georgia will be available LOCALLY ONLY as foster-to-adopt until she is spayed, at which time her adoption will be complete. If you’re interested in meeting her text or call Julie at (435) 773-5209 Tuesday through Saturday between 9 AM and 5 PM.
Barry
Barry is not a lap dog (unless he decides he wants to be). Instead, he is a grumpy boy who came to BAM with a broken pelvis which still causes him pain. In the year he’s been with BAM, Barry also suffered seizures and kidney stones. He’s on a special diet and medication for all of these things, but he’s still a grump. And we all still love him! Since being in BAM’s care, the poor guy has had to deal with puppies and big dogs who don’t understand why he doesn’t want to roughhouse. He does get along with dogs who aren’t in his face and likes to fetch a ball as long as you don’t try to take it back from him (Barry’s rules). Ornery as he is, Barry is kind of BAM’s mascot and they want the old guy to catch a break and live out the remainder of his life with someone he can find solace in. Barry loves to rub his back on the floor and wiggle and loves to have belly rubs by a person of his choosing. He enjoys certain members of BAM’s team while others simply aren’t his cup of tea.
To find out more about Barry, meet him and see if she’s a match for you, text, or call Julie at (435) 773-5209.
Celeste
Celeste is a stunning nine-month-old girl. She’s very shy at first but warms up pretty quickly, especially if you have a tennis ball in your hand. Once she makes friends, she’s a total sweetheart! She doesn’t always instantly click with other dogs so she should be properly introduced to any potential playmate. She’s also house trained, knows basic commands, and is an excellent fetcher!
To find out more about Celeste, meet her and see if she’s a match for you, text, or call Julie at (435) 773-5209.
Teton (aka Teeter)
Teton is a wonderful little dog who suffered a torn CCL (Cranial cruciate ligament]. He’s currently in foster care awaiting his surgical consult after which he will have surgery to repair the ligament. He does have a slight limp at this time. After surgery, he may not be able to hike for miles but he’ll be able and willing to go on long walks and short hikes. He’s housebroken with supervision. BAM doesn’t know how he would be if left alone for 8 hours but will ask to go out by moving around, whining, or looking anxious. He does not know the doggy door and they haven’t taught it as, due to his physical limitations right now, he shouldn’t be outside unsupervised.
Teton gets along with all the dogs in his foster home although he is a little afraid of the largest dog. He wants to play with the others but his injury, until repaired, requires him to get lots of rest and not stress his ligament too much so he’s curtailed from getting as playful as he would like. He’s happy to couch sit with you and watch TV, will lie under your desk if you’re working, and is generally a joyful, happy little dog. Teton spooks at noises and straps…anything that gives the appearance he might be hit with it. He is recovering well but we don’t recommend homes with small children. Older respectful children should be fine with him. He enjoys a ball and some stuffed toys, does well in the car, and would do well on a walk although he tends to pull a bit in the first few minutes. Once his leg is healed, dog parks should be fine.
Teton has demonstrated he can be protective of his owner so should be introduced slowly and with supervision to others who enter his space. He would do well in an apartment or a house or even an RV. He does bark but quiets immediately when told “enough”. Teton would be good for first-time pet owners and experienced owners. Aside from his little protective nature, which can easily be worked with, he’s adorable and, for you HOA people, just the right size.
Teton can be placed at this time in a foster-to-adopt home with the adoption finalizing after he is released medically. Foster to adopt parents must be willing to follow medical guidance and see that he makes it to his medical appointments. To meet Teton contact J@BAMUtah.com.
