Smittensouthern utah adoptable pets Smitten

Go ahead and fall in love with this big-eared little dog! Right, because you can’t help yourself! She asks that you do it slowly and calmly, though. And even though she’s a senior, she never misses a peep about playtime. Nothing like a romp with a buddy to keep a pup young. Once Smitten hears all about your love for her, she will be a fun companion who listens keenly for your every footfall.

Rogersouthern utah adoptable pets Roger

Looking for a dog who:
1. Loves other dogs and can match any playstyle or energy level?
2. Is affectionate, cuddles, and gives kisses?
3. Is house trained and knows basics cues and tricks?
4. Walks nicely on a leash?
5. Has the energy to hike and play, but is also a couch potato?

ROGER THAT! We have a dog who fits the bill: Roger! Roger would thrive in a quiet, calm home with routine and predictability. One of Best Friend’s behavior specialists, Janelle, says “If I could take home a third dog – Roger would be mine.”

Ringosouthern utah adoptable pets Ringo

Ringo is looking for his “Strawberry Fields Forever” home. This Starr is a fun, short-legged big pup who adores people and loves to cuddle! He seems to do well with most other dogs once introduced and takes his social cues from other well-socialized dogs. “A Day in the Life” of Ringo would include short walks and learning new things. Ringo appears to be house-trained and is learning to use a crate. He’s a playful guy who just wants to have fun and enjoy life! Ringo will make a wonderful companion in a home with teens and adults after a few handling sessions to ensure the right match. “Come Together” today with Ringo and make history. Remember, “All You Need is Love” and Ringo is just the pup to deliver!

Princess Thorsouthern utah adoptable pets Princess Thor

Princess Thor is very friendly with people and will greet you as soon as you walk into her room. She’s not a huge fan of other cats, but she does okay with dogs. Born in 2015, she came from a Utah shelter. Princess Thor does seem to think she’s royalty and has a lot of confidence. She’s hoping to find a home where her status will be respected and she won’t have to live with so many roommates!

Lizziesouthern utah adoptable pets Lizzie

Lizzie is a friendly girl looking for a heart to win. Her ideal home would have plenty of love to give, lots of comfy beds to sleep on, and wouldn’t mind giving her rides on their shoulders from time to time. Lizzie can coexist well with other cats, though she wouldn’t mind all of your attention to herself either. This girl is the ideal blend of affectionate and independent – every kitty lover’s dream! Contact our adoptions team today if you think Lizzie could be your perfect match.

Pipkinsouthern utah adoptable pets Pipkin

Beautiful, long-haired Pipkin loves to be admired from afar. She likes to be the kitty in charge – she prefers to pet you instead of you petting her! She sometimes plays hard to get and will make you earn her affection, but treats usually do the trick. Pipkin is definitely an independent-minded girl, deciding what she wants to do (and when). She’s the kind of girl that will keep you on your toes, but she’s worth the effort.
Pipkin does best when she feels safe and comfortable in her environment, and seems happiest when there is an established routine. Since she is not always confident around hands, a home that will allow her to live on her terms and move at her own pace is one in which she will flourish. This special girl will definitely need a patient owner who is willing to work with her, but will be rewarded with making a difference in the life of a wonderful cat.

Chaisouthern utah adoptable pets Chai

Shy Chai is going to be a beautiful young lady when she grows up. She isn’t used to being around people but is quickly learning that we aren’t so bad, especially at dinner and tummy scratching time. Chai is approximately 4–5 months old and will be available LOCALLY ONLY as a foster-to-adopt after she has had her second round of puppy shots. Once she has been spayed, her adoption will be completed. Chai is currently in a foster home. If you’re interested in meeting her text or call Julie at (435) 773-5209 Tuesday through Saturday between 9 AM and 5 PM.

Georgiasouthern utah adoptable pets Georgia

Sweet Georgia is a three-year-old gentle, kind, mellow love of a girl who would give anything to find someone special to love her back. Being part Catahoula, she has the most interesting coloring. She could disappear in a pile of autumn leaves. Georgia is house trained and gets along well with other respectful dogs (cats–not so much). She loves to cuddle and will let you pet her forever; almost like she’s never been petted before. Although we don’t know here attitude towards children, we suspect she would be wonderful. Georgia will be available LOCALLY ONLY as foster-to-adopt until she is spayed, at which time her adoption will be complete. If you’re interested in meeting her text or call Julie at (435) 773-5209 Tuesday through Saturday between 9 AM and 5 PM.

Barrysouther utah adoptable pets BARRY

Barry is not a lap dog (unless he decides he wants to be). Instead, he is a grumpy boy who came to BAM with a broken pelvis which still causes him pain. In the year he’s been with BAM, Barry also suffered seizures and kidney stones. He’s on a special diet and medication for all of these things, but he’s still a grump. And we all still love him! Since being in BAM’s care, the poor guy has had to deal with puppies and big dogs who don’t understand why he doesn’t want to roughhouse. He does get along with dogs who aren’t in his face and likes to fetch a ball as long as you don’t try to take it back from him (Barry’s rules). Ornery as he is, Barry is kind of BAM’s mascot and they want the old guy to catch a break and live out the remainder of his life with someone he can find solace in. Barry loves to rub his back on the floor and wiggle and loves to have belly rubs by a person of his choosing. He enjoys certain members of BAM’s team while others simply aren’t his cup of tea.

To find out more about Barry, meet him and see if she’s a match for you, text, or call Julie at (435) 773-5209.

Celestesouthern utah adoptable pets Celeste

Celeste is a stunning nine-month-old girl. She’s very shy at first but warms up pretty quickly, especially if you have a tennis ball in your hand. Once she makes friends, she’s a total sweetheart! She doesn’t always instantly click with other dogs so she should be properly introduced to any potential playmate. She’s also house trained, knows basic commands, and is an excellent fetcher!

To find out more about Celeste, meet her and see if she’s a match for you, text, or call Julie at (435) 773-5209.

Teton (aka Teeter)southern utah adoptable pets Teton

Teton is a wonderful little dog who suffered a torn CCL (Cranial cruciate ligament]. He’s currently in foster care awaiting his surgical consult after which he will have surgery to repair the ligament. He does have a slight limp at this time. After surgery, he may not be able to hike for miles but he’ll be able and willing to go on long walks and short hikes. He’s housebroken with supervision. BAM doesn’t know how he would be if left alone for 8 hours but will ask to go out by moving around, whining, or looking anxious. He does not know the doggy door and they haven’t taught it as, due to his physical limitations right now, he shouldn’t be outside unsupervised.

Teton gets along with all the dogs in his foster home although he is a little afraid of the largest dog. He wants to play with the others but his injury, until repaired, requires him to get lots of rest and not stress his ligament too much so he’s curtailed from getting as playful as he would like. He’s happy to couch sit with you and watch TV, will lie under your desk if you’re working, and is generally a joyful, happy little dog. Teton spooks at noises and straps…anything that gives the appearance he might be hit with it. He is recovering well but we don’t recommend homes with small children. Older respectful children should be fine with him. He enjoys a ball and some stuffed toys, does well in the car, and would do well on a walk although he tends to pull a bit in the first few minutes. Once his leg is healed, dog parks should be fine.

Teton has demonstrated he can be protective of his owner so should be introduced slowly and with supervision to others who enter his space. He would do well in an apartment or a house or even an RV. He does bark but quiets immediately when told “enough”. Teton would be good for first-time pet owners and experienced owners. Aside from his little protective nature, which can easily be worked with, he’s adorable and, for you HOA people, just the right size.

Teton can be placed at this time in a foster-to-adopt home with the adoption finalizing after he is released medically. Foster to adopt parents must be willing to follow medical guidance and see that he makes it to his medical appointments. To meet Teton contact J@BAMUtah.com.
