Earlsouthern utah adoptable pets Earl

Earl is a true goofball once you get to know him. He does take some time to trust new people but treats are the way to his heart and the wait is totally worth it. He would do best in an adult-only home. He enjoys car rides more than anything else but will also go for walks although he’s pretty slow and likes to sniff all the flowers. Earl would love to spend time getting to know you, ask about him today!

Sampsonsouthern utah adoptable pets Sampson

He may not have long hair as the original Sampson, but he is just as handsome. Sampson could be part German Shepherd or Blue Heeler. No one knows for sure. But whatever his breed(s), he is a devilishly handsome chap with a charming and playful personality. Sampson takes a little time to warm up, be he is all about the treats. (He doesn’t know what a “diet” is.) If you rescue Sampson, he will rescue you right back.

Queen Beesouthern utah adoptable pets Queen Bee

Queen Bee aka Queenie is a loving girl who just wants to be with her people. She enjoys walks and playing tug, but then is ready to settle down and snuggle on your lap. Some say she might be big for a lap, but she disagrees. Queenie would prefer to be in a home where she is solo and truly the “Queen”. She’s very smart and enjoys clicker training and performing a job. She would be amazing for someone experienced with training and managing behaviors. She’s a gorgeous girl with a lot of love to give.

Schmooliesouthern utah adoptable pets Schmoolie

Schmoolie is a confident young man who loves attention. He follows you around and always wants to be a part of what you’re doing. While he can get a little too excited with so many other cats around, he comes back around quickly. This sweet boy just wants a person of his own. He can’t wait to meet you!

Tinselsouthern utah adoptable pets Tinsel

Tinsel is friendly and likes everyone. She loves to get attention and be petted, but she won’t bug you for it. Though she mostly keeps to herself, she gets along with other cats. Born around 2006, Tinsel came from a Utah animal shelter. She is a sweet old lady with big golden eyes and a tender demeanor. She’s in the twilight of her years but still very much in love with life and any attention she can get. Take her home and she will light up your life with her kind eyes and give you her full attention and care when you need a friend.

Buckysouthern utah adoptable pets Bucky

Bucky is very shy around people, although he’s gained a lot of confidence since coming to Best Friends. He started out as one of their famous ‘rafter cats,’ but now he spends most of his time on ground level. He’ll even let you get close enough to feed him baby food out of a spoon! Bucky is good with other cats as long as they’re easygoing and don’t pick on him. He’s still young and playful. He even cuddles with one of his roommates Danette, a cute girl cat who has helped him come out of his shell. Born in 2016, he came from a California shelter. It will take Bucky time to adjust to a new home, but he’s making great progress. He’s looking for a home filled with patience, love, and treats.

Danettesouthern utah adoptable pets Bucky

Danette was timid when she first arrived at Best Friends, but she’s made a lot of progress! Formerly a ‘rafter cat,’ she now allows humans to pet her, though you may have to go to her. She’s also bonded with a male cat named Bucky, whom she snuggles with every day. Danette loves playing with all sorts of cat toys, something she didn’t do early on because she was too shy to come down from the rafters during the day.  Danette was born around 2013 and came from a California shelter. She doesn’t do well with other cats if they’re aggressive, but as her bond with Bucky shows, she can get along really well with the right cat. With a patient person, she’ll continue to be less timid and more affectionate. Can you give Danette the patient, loving home she needs to fully come out of her shell?

Crushsouthern utah adoptable pets Crush

Unfortunately, Crush was hit by a car about a month before he was rescued and we recently found out he has a pretty bad break-in in one of his legs. He’s currently receiving medical care, and will be ready to go when he’s given the all-clear by RSQDogs vets! His broken leg barely slows him down, he loves to play, but if you sit down, he automatically becomes a lap dog, he’s so sweet!

Elainasouthern utah adoptable pets Elaina

Elaina is a 7-month old border collie mix. She’s been through quite a lot in her short life! She was attacked by a dog when she was about 4 months old and sustained a broken jaw. After 2 surgeries, she’s now fully recovered and doing great! She was initially scared of other dogs after the attack but now loves to play with all dogs she meets. She’s also good with cats! She’s a little hesitant around strangers who reach for her head, perhaps due to all the medical treatments she received but she’s gaining confidence every day. She also has a little more practice to do getting comfortable around small children. Being very smart, Elaina loves a mental challenge and is a quick learner but overall is a silly, energetic puppy who loves to run fast, play with her toys, and then relax by your side the rest of the day!

Celeste is a stunning nine-month-old girl. She’s very shy at first but warms up pretty quickly, especially if you have a tennis ball in your hand. Once she makes friends, she’s a total sweetheart! She doesn’t always instantly click with other dogs so she should be properly introduced to any potential playmate. She’s also house trained, knows basic commands, and is an excellent fetcher!

Acesouthern utah adoptable pets ACE

Ace is a happy, big old pup who has no idea he’s ever been injured, has recently had major surgery, and definitely doesn’t’ know that he’s supposed to have been calm and quiet while recuperating. His vet is amazed at just how well he has done so quickly! Ace has a lot of energy and will need an active home. He would love to have a nice big yard to play in, along with regular and increasing exercise to strengthen his leg. In a few months, he’ll likely want to go on hikes and long walks. In the meantime, he loves affection and he loves to play! If he has toys and balls, he can entertain himself for long periods of time. He’d love you to throw the ball, but if you’re not available, he’s perfectly capable of throwing it for himself!! He needs to learn some manners but he is a bright boy and will learn quickly. He does tend to be toy possessive so some supervision will be needed with his doggy playmates. Ace is fully vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, and ready to go to his forever home today!!! He will need an adopter with patience and one who is willing to care for him if his leg causes him issues in the future.

To find out more about Ace, meet him and see if he’s a match for you, text, or call Julie at (435) 773-5209.
