Sherman
Sherman has quite the fan club here in Dogtown, and rightfully so. He’s very sensitive and soulful- if you give him a little time and patience you’ll see it too. In his younger years, Sherman was a bit of a bull in a china shop, but he’s mellowed into a wonderful companion.
Whoever came up with the phrase, “You can’t teach an old dog new tricks” surely has not met Sherman. This old man LOVES learning new things! Sherman’s favorite things in life include (very) leisurely strolls, figuring out new food puzzles, and getting butt scratches. He can be a little picky with his dog friends but once he has a friend, they’re a friend for life.
Sherman also has something he’s a bit embarrassed about…he’s afraid of indoor floors! We’ve worked very hard on this, and he promises he’ll learn to be comfortable with any type of flooring you have in your home. We hope someone sees the same specialness in Sherman that we do- he’s one of a kind.
Maxx
Maxx may be a senior, but he still has a spring in his step. He loves to take long, leisurely walks where he can follow his nose and explore. Maxx also enjoys car rides, snuggling with large stuffy toys, and most of all hanging out with his trusted human friends. He bonds strongly to his people and thrives on a solid routine which keeps his anxiety in check. Maxx prefers to be the only animal in the home so he can have your undivided attention. He’s looking for an understanding person who is willing to spend time with him and help him feel safe and loved. If you’re looking for a loyal companion, talk to an adoption specialist about Maxx today!
Skelly
Skelly is curious, energetic, and brave. She can be shy, but she loves treats and patient people with yummy snacks win her over pretty quickly. Skelly loves the sight of the leash and is always ready to hit the trails in Dogtown, especially if a canine friend is going along. She is starting to explore new places such as Dogtown’s indoor agility area and the offices in Dogtown headquarters, where she can experience a more home-like environment.
One of Skelly’s favorite things is to visit our one-acre dog park where she can run and explore in a safe way. She oftentimes runs off and explores and later comes back to follow her caregiver around and get treats. She would love a fenced yard in her new home since exploring outside is one of her favorite things. She also loves toys, solving food puzzles, and hanging out with her dog friends.
Skelly has play dates with other dogs at the Sanctuary, and she has been easygoing with all the dogs she’s met. She’s also been a good walking buddy for other dogs. She does tend to be a little sensitive and will squeal sometimes if a dog is too rough, so she should live with dogs who understand that and won’t scare her.
Skelly is looking for a person or family who will take the time to earn her trust and not rush her. A home with a friendly dog would also help her adjust.
Sushi
Sushi wants to come near you, but if you move she runs in the opposite direction. She’s super shy and nervous, but very sweet. And you can entice her with food and treats. She keeps to herself for the most part. Sushi tested positive for Feline Leukemia (FeLV ), so she’ll need to be an only cat or live with other FeLV kitties. Born around 2013, Sushi was abandoned. We believe that she has the potential to be a very lovable cat. She really wants to trust people, but needs someone with lots of love and patience.
Divya
This beautiful girl came to us in 2015 after she was abandoned at 2 months old and has never had a family of her own. Divya loves Temptations treats, wand toys, her feline roommates, and being brushed. She would love nothing more than a quiet, patient home where she can adjust to her surroundings and learn to trust being in a home for the first time in her life.
Seinfeld
Seinfeld is a quiet guy who likes to survey his territory from the lofty grandeur of his rafters. He is reserved, calm, and collected. He likes to keep his distance from people, but a certain lucky few have been able to coax him out with treats for pets. He also tells me he has a great idea for a T.V. show.
RSQ
RSQ is a non-profit animal rescue in St. George, Utah. Our mission is to be a voice for the voiceless, bettering the lives of animals in Utah’s rural communities. Archie is a young red heeler/cattle dog. He is very loving and playful and enjoys playing with other dogs and people. He’s a good walker and will need someone to patiently train him. Archie needs an active family as his breed is one that needs play and exercise.
Moira
Moira is an adorable mixture of several breeds. She is playful and excited at the prospect of going to a loving home. She loves to wrestle and play. Moira just loves to cuddle. She will need patience, training and will make the most loyal pet.
Flint
Sweet loving Flint is a hound mix (coon hound/foxhound mix). He is approximately 4–6 months old. Flint is very smart, playful, and likes other dogs and toys. He is a good walker. His kennel is typically clean in the mornings but he will need guidance/training in a new home. We hope Flint will ignite a spark in you to adopt him!
Sally Munson
Sally Munson is a loving and playful cat. She’s been a good mama to her kittens – Holly and Tinsel – and is now ready to be pampered and spoiled. It is unusual for kittens to stay bonded with their mother but Sally is bonded with her two kittens. They can often be found cuddling together and grooming each other. Sally is house-trained and would be good in a home with her kittens or other cats.
Tinsel
Start your holiday decorating early by adopting Tinsel and Holly. These siblings would love to be home before the holidays. Tinsel is a young cat who enjoys romping around and she will make your house glitter and sparkle. They are the purrfect age for you to enjoy as their personalities unfold. Tinsel and Holly have remained bonded with their mother, Sally Munson, which is unusual at this age. They are often found together cuddling and grooming. Tinsel is house-trained and would be good in a home with her mother and sibling.

Milo
Milo is an 11-month-old orange and white male cat. He gets overlooked because he is shy and looks a little strange. He had Entropian eyes but that doesn’t mean he won’t love his humans. He just needs a chance to be in a loving home with patient people to give him a chance to come out of his shell. Come in and meet Milo soon.
Carrie
Carrie is a 6-month-old beauty. She is full of energy and is quite a character. She loves flipping around on cat towers and cuddling with humans. She will be a great family pet and has been fostered in a home with other cats and a small dog. Come into PAWS and meet this great little girl!

Maverick
Maverick is one year old. He is playful, walks great on the leash, and appears to like other dogs just fine. He is housebroken. He knows sit and will fetch and bring back for hours. This young dog is very smart and eager to learn and please. We cannot emphasize how much he likes to play. If you have space in your home for him he is going to fill it up with joy for the rest of his life. His adoption fee is $60.
Toby
Toby enjoys toys and a good belly rub. Toby is approximately 6-7 months old. He has shown to have a very friendly temperament. Toby is ALL puppy and is house-trained BUT needs lots of exercise and work on his manners to keep him active and out of trouble. Toby will grow up to be a large-sized dog and will provide a lot of love! His adoption fee is $60.
Scooter
Scooter is a fantastic cat who is looking for a happy home where her true personality can shine. This gal is incredibly affectionate and sweet. She will love cuddling with you, sitting in your lap, and giving you head butts. She meows to say hi and will follow you around the house keeping you company. Scooter enjoys looking out the window and will appreciate having plenty of vertical space (like a cat tree). She’s past the hyper kitten stage, but is still active and enjoys the stimulation of chasing feathers on string and toy mice. Beautiful coloration. Her adoption fee is $40.
Tootsie
I’m Tootsie and I came to the shelter with 3 siblings. I am still a very special little girl! I am sweet, calm, and loving, but I do have to admit, I am a tad shy. I’m not really shy by nature, I’m just a little unsure of my surroundings right now! I was a stray before I came to the shelter, and my time on my own has left me with some timidness about strange people and strange surroundings. I am quickly learning to shed this shyness and just be my normal, happy self! My adoption fee is $40.

Littermates Chewy, Curry, Zuma
Chewy is a little fluffball. He’s very social and loves to play with everyone.
Spicy baby Curry is a total character and will keep you on your toes with his silliness. He and his littermates are happy, frisky and well socialized.
Puffy Zuma plays well with the other puppies and loves to go upside down for a tummy rub!
Chewy, Curry, and Zuma are available LOCALLY ONLY as foster to adopt. Once spayed/neutered, the adoption can be finalized and their adorableness will be all yours forever and ever!
Barry
Barry is not a lap dog (unless he decides he wants to be). Instead, he is a grumpy boy who came to us with a broken pelvis which still causes him pain. In the year he’s been with us, Barry also suffered seizures and kidney stones. He’s on a special diet and medication for all of these things, but he’s still a grump. And we all still love him!
Since being in our care, the poor guy has had to deal with puppies and big dogs who don’t understand why he doesn’t want to roughhouse. He does get along with dogs who aren’t in his face and likes to fetch a ball as long as you don’t try to take it back from him (Barry’s rules).
Ornery as he is, Barry is kind of our mascot and we want the old guy to catch a break and live out the remainder of his life with someone he can find solace in.
Barry loves to rub his back on the floor and wiggle and loves to have belly rubs by a person of his choosing. He enjoys certain members of our team while others simply aren’t his cup of tea.
Dottie
Dottie is such a sweet girl! She’s smart, house trained, knows the doggy door, playful, loves toys (especially the squeaky kind), is good with other dogs, and loves people, especially the petting part! Dottie is a calm pup and a great walker! And even though her foster has a whole lot of other hungry pups wanting treats, Dottie waits patiently until it’s her turn to get one.
Dottie is available as foster to adopt until she has been spayed. Then the adoption can be finalized and she will be all yours forever and ever!
Quincy
Tiny Quincy is four to five years old and sweet as can be. He was a bit underweight when he came to BAM but is now up to a whopping 6 pounds!!! He loves his treats, his people but most of all his toys: Quincy plays fetch with a small ball or squeaky toy. He is crate trained but is happiest being with his person. He is comfortable with other dogs (and cats) and plays well with dogs his own size.
Quincy is available LOCALLY ONLY as foster to adopt. Once he gets his dental and is neutered, the adoption will be completed and he’ll be all yours!
Roxy
Roxy needs a playmate! This girl is so affectionate, full of life, and smart, smart, smart!!! She wants nothing more than get outside and play ball, tug, you name it–she just wants to play!
Unfortunately, life changes didn’t allow pretty Roxy to stay with her family and she has to be re-homed. She’s a wonderful girl (did we mention that she’s smart?) who needs someone with an active lifestyle and time to help develop her mind. She would probably be a great agility dog, frisbee fetcher, and/or running/hiking partner. And once she’s worn you out, she’ll snuggle up to you on the couch for cuddles and cookies. (Exercise and cookies- you can’t lose!) And can you imagine gazing into those gorgeous eyes every day?
Mikko
“Mikko” (pronounced Mick O), Hebrew for God, is a lovely gentleman who enjoys short walks and hanging out with other dogs, especially little ones. He’s an absolute lover boy and bonds quickly with everyone
Mikko will be having a mass removed from his leg soon and will be available for adoption once it’s done. He’s neutered, microchipped, housebroken, up-to-date on his vaccinations, and ready to move to his new forever home.
