Due West Christmas Presented By Liberty Live Entertainment
Due West is an American country music group composed of Matt Lopez, Tim Gates, and Brad Hull. Due West was founded in Nashville, Tennessee in 2004. By 2009, the band self-released its debut single, “I Get That All the Time”, which was also made into a music video, which has aired on Great American Country. In 2011, their second single, “When the Smoke Clears”, was released as a music video. Both “I Get That All the Time” and “When the Smoke Clears” made it into Great American Country’s top 20. The ONLY Christmas concert by Due West in 2021 is right here in St. George, Utah to share their original Christmas Songs from their album, “I Hear Christmas” as well as their top country music hits.
Due West is also a part of the Nashville Tribute Band, which you may have heard on the Nashville Tribute albums (“Joseph: A Nashville Tribute to the Prophet” and “Trek: A Nashville Tribute to the Pioneers”). As reported in the Deseret News, 2010.
“[Being a part of Nashville Tribute] has been a great experience because…it helps us remember that what’s important is to use our talents to do good. Nashville Tribute originally helped create an audience for Due West,” said Hull. “Now we’re hoping to create an audience for Nashville Tribute with Due West.”
Lopez said, “We feel like what we’re supposed to do with Due West is bring an audience to hear a message that’s so much bigger than what we could possibly talk about in country music. People who might never come and listen to music about a prophet or a religion will come because they’re fans of Due West. And if one person comes to a Nashville Tribute show and is affected by it, then we’ve done our job.”
You can enjoy Due West on Saturday, December 18th, 2021 at the Dixie State University’s Cox Performing Arts Center. Doors open at 6:30 PM with the concert starting at 7 PM.
