A Show of Spirit and Earth: Tom Wheeler and Daphne Overstreet Exhibit Opens in Springdale

Springdale, UT — May 19, 2025

Two artists. One show. Endless texture.

The Canyon Community Center in Springdale will host Together, a collaborative exhibit by Tom Wheeler and Daphne Overstreet, running May 19 through June 27, 2025. Known for their deeply textural and evocative style, Wheeler and Overstreet bring together wood, stone, metal, and spirit in a multi-media art experience that straddles the line between impressionism and abstraction.

Both artists are known for their intuitive approach to materials. Wheeler, with a background in sculptural woodworking, lets natural forms and grain patterns guide his hand. Overstreet, equally grounded in earth-based materials, adds layered nuance through stonework, metal, and found textures. The result? A tactile, 3D exploration of our connection to the land and each other.

This free exhibit invites the public to engage with art that feels both ancient and modern—raw elements honed into poetic form. According to the artists, Together is a meditation on grounding, connection, and transformation.
