The Cedar City Children’s Musical Theatre will present Aladdin’s Arabian Family Night at Cedar City’s Main Street Park Monday, June 15, from 5 until 8 p.m. The Cedar City Children’s Musical Theatre holds a fundraising event annually, and this year, with a record number of 250 children participating in their 2015 production of “Aladdin, Jr.,” their budget is higher than ever.
Aladdin’s Arabian Family Night will be staffed and run entirely by volunteers from the Cedar City Children’s Musical Theatre, a volunteer-run, nonprofit organization. Attendees will have the chance to meet Aladdin, played by Kyler Krause, as well as Jasmine, played by Camry Gover. “Magic carpet” hay rides will be given, and a raffle will be held, with prizes including a TV and various gift certificates. Approximately twenty different booths with games will be set up and run by various members of the cast and crew of “Aladdin, Jr.” and several local businesses.
A dinner of either a hot dog, chips, and a drink or nachos and a drink is included with the purchase of admission. Other concessions will also be available for purchase, including popcorn, snow cones, cotton candy, and more.
Tickets for Aladdin’s Arabian Family Night are $7 each. Families of four can purchase a group ticket for $25, and additional family members may be added for $5 each. As it will help facilitate accurate estimates regarding food preparation, advance ticket purchase is advised. Tickets are available anytime at http://www.cccmt.org/make-payment-12 or Wednesday, June 10, and Thursday, June 11, from 5 to 7 p.m. at 1579 North Main St. in Cedar City.
