The stage lights are warming up and the voices are getting stronger as American Crossroads Theatre’s 2025 summer season races toward opening night. Returning to the Heritage Center Theater July 2 through August 2, this beloved Cedar City repertory company is rolling out a dynamic trio of musicals: Little Women the Musical, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, and The Who’s Tommy.

Now deep in rehearsals, the excitement is palpable. “It’s really coming together beautifully,” says Festival Founder Richard Bugg. “As we get closer to opening, the level of commitment and talent this cast brings to the stage is inspiring. We’ve got three very different shows, and each is hitting its stride in a powerful way.”

Little Women the Musical kicks things off on July 2, bringing Louisa May Alcott’s timeless story to life with music by Jason Howland and a heartfelt performance from Kristina Harding as Marmee. This tale of sisterhood and resilience is as relevant now as ever, packed with warmth, courage, and soaring melodies.

Then on July 3, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang takes off—literally. With a fantastical flying car, infectious Sherman Brothers songs, and whimsical fun for all ages, this one’s a crowd-pleaser the whole family will love. Bugg himself takes on the hilarious role of the Baron, promising laughs aplenty.

July 5 brings the thunder with The Who’s Tommy, the groundbreaking rock opera featuring hits like “Pinball Wizard” and “See Me, Feel Me.” Tyson Chanticleer commands the stage as the adult Tommy, taking audiences on a journey of fame, trauma, and transformation. It’s loud, it’s wild, and it’s pure rock theater.

The productions feature a skilled ensemble cast pulled from around the country—including talent from Chicago and beyond—performing in repertory so you can see all three shows over a weekend or across multiple visits.

The venue, the Heritage Center Theater in downtown Cedar City, is an exceptional place to experience live performance—comfortable, acoustically rich, and beautifully managed.

Tickets are going fast, and ACT fans can still get 15% off through July 15 by using promo code Independent15.
