Cedar City’s beloved summer repertory is back as American Crossroads Theatre (formerly SimonFest Theatre Company) returns to the Heritage Center Theater with a powerhouse 2025 season. Running July 2 through August 2, this year’s musical lineup features the classic Little Women the Musical, the family-favorite Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, and the legendary rock opera The Who’s Tommy.
“We have two very, very moving stories in Tommy and Little Women, and just a wonderful kid-friendly adventure in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang,” says Festival Founder Richard Bugg. “The first day of rehearsal I was overwhelmed by the singing and acting talent in our company.”

The season opens July 2 with Little Women, based on Louisa May Alcott’s beloved novel. With music by Jason Howland, it follows the March sisters through trials, triumphs, and timeless sisterhood. Kristina Harding stars as the nurturing and wise Marmee.
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang lifts off July 3 with its flying car, unforgettable songs by the Sherman Brothers, and a whimsical tale of family, adventure, and invention—perfect for all ages. Richard Bugg himself takes the stage as the Baron.
Then, July 5 brings the thunder as The Who’s Tommy launches into rock legend territory. With smash hits like “Pinball Wizard” and “I’m Free,” and Tyson Chanticleer leading as adult Tommy, this high-energy production explores trauma, healing, and fame.
The ensemble includes top-tier talent from across the region and beyond, with performers traveling in from as far as Chicago. All shows run in repertory, giving audiences a chance to catch all three across a single weekend or multiple visits.
Performances take place at the Heritage Center Theater in downtown Cedar City, a beautifully equipped venue with excellent acoustics and comfortable seating.
