American Crossroads Theatre’s 2025 Summer Season Is Almost Upon Us
July 2 through August 2, 2025, Cedar City.
American Crossroads Theatre (formerly SimonFest Theatre Company) is thrilled to announce its 2025 Summer Season, featuring a vibrant trio of beloved musicals: the family favorite Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, the timeless and heartwarming Little Women the Musical, and the electrifying rock classic The Who’s Tommy. All three productions will run in repertory at the Heritage Center Theater from July 2 through August 2, 2025.

The season opens with Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, based on the 1968 film adaptation of Ian Fleming’s children’s novel. Featuring a memorable score by the Sherman Brothers, the story follows an eccentric inventor who transforms a broken-down Grand Prix car into a magical vehicle. Together with his children, he embarks on an unforgettable adventure to rescue their grandfather from a distant land.
Next, Little Women the Musical brings Louisa May Alcott’s beloved tale to life through Jason Howland’s lush, emotionally resonant score. Centering on Jo March and her sisters—Meg, Beth, and Amy—the story explores their personal dreams and societal challenges as they grow up in Civil War-era Massachusetts.
Rounding out the season is The Who’s Tommy, the legendary 1969 rock opera by Pete Townshend. Featuring iconic hits like “I’m Free,” “See Me, Feel Me,” “Sensation,” and “Pinball Wizard,” this groundbreaking musical follows young Tommy Walker’s journey from trauma-induced silence to pinball prodigy and spiritual icon.
The 2025 season will feature a stellar cast, including:
- Richard Bugg, founder and artistic director, as the Baron in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang
- Kristina Harding as Marmee March in Little Women
- Local powerhouse Tyson Chanticleer as the adult Tommy in The Who’s Tommy
- And many more talented performers from throughout the region, including artists from as far away as Chicago.
