Arrowhead Gallery ETC features Deann Rex in June

Arrowhead Gallery ETC’s featured artist for June is Deann Rex. Please join her for a featured artist reception June 1 from 6 to 8 p.m. at 68 E. Tabernacle St. in St. George.
Rex’s inspiration is drawn from all the amazing wonders and the incredible beauties of this world. She looks for beauty around every corner: in the pose of a person, the sway of a tree, the colors of nature, someone’s eyes, and the innocence and beauty of a child in all the many nuances of color and form.
Her inspiration is gathered from her travels. She has studied with many renowned artists. She has studied the works of both the old and new masters in the U.S. and in Europe. Studying in Paris was “a dream come true” for Rex.
Her first significant award was the Best of Show at the Salt Lake City All High School Competition. Many best of show and first place awards followed, including First Place Oil at the Salt Palace Centennial Show, First Place Watercolor at an annual Art in the Park Show in St. George, and First Place Watercolor at an annual Invitational Regional Show at the St. George Art Museum.
