On Friday, July 17, the St. George Chamber of Commerce and Outlier Labs will be hosting the Bolster Summer Retreat for southern Utah businesses at the Eureka Hotel in Mesquite, and they want you to be prepared to obtain new vision, inspiration, and transformation. As part of the retreat, five nonprofit organizations will benefit from business consulting and shared insight provided by professionals attending Bolster. These organizations will receive fresh ideas and new conceptual models designed just for them by attendees.
The Bolster Summer Retreat will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (PST); however, all who attend will receive a voucher for a complimentary one-night stay at The Eureka Hotel. Fifty rooms are reserved for the night of the event, or attendees can use the vouchers at another time at their convenience
The keynote speaker is self-described “champion of social good” Devin Thorpe, a renowned author and speaker as well as a contributor to Forbes and Social Entrepreneur magazines. Thorpe’s books on personal finance and crowdfunding draw from his experience in entrepreneurial finance as an investment banker, CFO, treasurer, and mortgage broker in order to help people use financial resources to do good. He was a member of the U.S. Senate Banking committee staff and holds an MBA from Cornell.
In addition to the keynote address, the Bolster Summer Retreat will feature breakout sessions designed with the aforementioned goals of new vision, inspiration, and transformation in mind. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be served at the Eureka Town Square Seafood Buffet, and a post-conference social event with hors d’oeuvres and entertainment will take place in the evening. All business organizations in southern Utah are invited. The Washington City, Cedar City, Hurricane, Mesquite, and Moapa Valley chambers of commerce have invited their business communities to attend as well!
