Brian Head Resort has opened the Giant Steps Express Lift, expanding access to 14 additional trails as the winter season continues to build. With this opening, six of the resort’s eight lifts are now operating, and more terrain is expected to come online as snowfall and snowmaking allow.

The resort will also ring in the New Year with its annual Torchlight Parade and Fireworks on December 31. Ski instructors and ski patrol will lead a torchlight descent to the Giant Steps base area at 6:15 PM, followed by a fireworks show at 6:30 PM.

Guests can ski into the New Year with night skiing and snow tubing at Giant Steps. Night skiing runs from 4–9 PM daily through January 4, then continues on Fridays and Saturdays. Snow tubing is available daily from 10 AM–4 PM, with night tubing offered until 7 PM through January 4.

Brian Head Resort reminds skiers and riders that early-season conditions and unmarked hazards may exist. Visitors are encouraged to use caution and respect all posted closures as additional terrain opens.
