The 1946 film “It’s a Wonderful Life” has touched thousands of hearts for decades, and now the famous musical is gracing the stage at Brigham’s Playhouse in southern Utah! Brigham’s Playhouse will open the show Friday, Nov. 14 and will run it through Jan. 3. The company plans to present this production every year as a holiday tradition.
This family-friendly show will leave audiences uplifted and inspired as they witness George Bailey give all he has to support his fellow neighbors. Audiences will inevitably laugh at the witty humor and empathize with Bailey’s struggles. Company actor Dale Hoopes plays the famous character of Bailey. Hoopes recently featured as Elder John Leland in “First Freedom,” a musical produced by Brigham’s Playhouse.“Playing George Bailey is a dream come true,” he said. “I have loved the classic 1946 film ever since I can remember. This is a story that is applicable for every time period. I am thrilled to be a part of this production!”
Hoopes was recently hired on as professional company actor and crew member.“I have absolutely loved my experience at Brigham’s Playhouse thus far,” he said. ”The atmosphere is so inviting and warm, and I have felt extremely welcome ever since I started working here.”Brigham’s Playhouse is ecstatic to present this beloved musical.
