Buckskin Tavern – Success in Revival
The Buckskin Tavern, an iconic local bar in Fredonia, Arizona, has continued to gain popularity and boasts ‘the longest bar in Arizona’ since its re-opening under new ownership in late April 2023.
After a fresh update to the classic ‘dive bar’ built in 1934 by a local family, the new owners have brought The Buckskin Tavern into the 21st century while keeping the original mystique and charm that has drawn patrons for close to 100 years.
‘We have so much to offer here at the bar: 12 beers on draft; we like to focus on local Arizona breweries and have a couple of personal favorites on tap we’ve found while out and about tasting. Special Featured taps lately have been – Coronado Brewing Company (San Diego) – Weekend Vibes, Second Chance Beer Co. (San Diego), and Maui Brewing Co. – Coconut Porter; ‘the featured taps change as we discover new delicious brews in the expansive Craft beer market; so many fantastic tastes and options to be found’ explained Lianne Kelly of The Buckskin Tavern. We carry a gluten-free beer, four different non-alcoholic Beers, ciders, seltzers, and an ever-growing fine wine list to enjoy.’ Along with a vast array of great draft beers, import bottles, fine wine, and cocktails, The Buckskin Tavern sells package liquor, ‘I’ve found a lot of visitors to the bar do not know what that entails; package liquor is retail liquor sales, ‘booze to go’ as we like to say and we have a solid selection of spirits, locally brewed beer, Modelo and good ol’ classics available like Coors Banquet bottles.’
The Buckskin Tavern has a lineup of entertainment to keep locals and visitors alike relishing the welcome vibe, with Live Music offered on Saturday nights, Trivia Night and Karaoke on Thursdays, friendly Pool Tournaments, Sip n’ Paints, and the popular Wine Education Tastings. We continually add and mix our events to keep the grins and laughter flowing.
We’ve also added food to our plate, no pun intended; the Buckskin Bites menu includes a Portobello sandwich, a pulled pork ‘sammy,’ and a variety of classic bar food to choose from. If you happen to be at The Buckskin on a lucky night, be sure to order the delicious Buck Burger & fries, a fantastic companion to a draft beer or a Vegan Hot Brat, notable, to say the least!
