Local artists are invited to help shape a community favorite. The St. George Museum of Art is accepting submissions for its annual Day of the Dead Celebration, with selected works to appear in a special pop-up exhibition running October 30–November 1.
“The pop-up show adds such an important element to what has become a truly can’t-miss event,” said KC Carter, Special Events & Programming Specialist for the City of St. George. “I encourage all interested artists to submit their work and take part in this significant cultural celebration.”
Artists may submit up to two pieces inspired by Día de los Muertos. Works will be juried, and selected artists will be contacted with drop-off details. The submission deadline is October 15. (Submission portal as provided by the Museum.)
“This event is so fun to be involved with every year,” added Stephanie Wheeler, Assistant Curator at the museum. “This really showcases the talent, thoughtfulness, inspiration and joy that exists in our community.”

The celebration culminates with a cultural event on Saturday, November 1, 5–8 PM at the Museum of Art, featuring a live dance performance, children’s crafts, a community ofrenda, food trucks, horchata, face painting, and more.
