ST. GEORGE — The Art Around the Corner Foundation (AACF) has announced its Call for Entries for the 2026–2027 Outdoor Sculpture Gallery, the acclaimed public art exhibition that transforms downtown St. George into a year-long outdoor gallery. Artists from across the U.S. and Canada are invited to apply now through October 31, 2025, via CaFÉ.
Now entering its 22nd year, the Outdoor Sculpture Gallery is one of Utah’s most celebrated art-on-loan programs. Each spring, approximately 30 large-scale works are installed along Main Street and Town Square, bringing creativity and vibrancy to the heart of the city. All sculptures are available for purchase, creating opportunities for artists to connect directly with buyers while enriching the community with public art.
“Every sculpture is available for purchase, creating a showcase that supports and promotes artists directly,” said Heather Atkin, Executive Director of the Art Around the Corner Foundation. “At the same time, these works bring beauty, creativity, and connection to our public spaces. Our goal has always been to support and promote public art while also supporting and promoting the artists who create it.”
Artists submitting work must ensure their sculptures can withstand Southern Utah’s extreme desert climate, which ranges from 25°F in the winter to 115°F in the summer. Eligible works must be at least 24 inches in height or diameter, structurally sound, and safe for public interaction, including climbing or touching. Sculptures must be free of sharp edges or other hazards.
Artists may submit up to two completed works, though only one per artist will be selected. Each chosen artist receives a $1,000 stipend, and selected pieces will be displayed for approximately one year. The new season begins March 28, 2026.
Full application details and requirements are available on the CaFÉ portal.
