Cedar City Star Search 2025 Is Just Around The Corner
Get ready for another year of outstanding local talent at Cedar City Star Search on Saturday, March 15, at 7 PM at the Heritage Center Theater! This exciting community event features talented acts throughout Iron County for a chance to win a cash prize and a reigning title in their category!
Participating in a Star Search event is an exhilarating opportunity for aspiring performers to showcase their talents, gain confidence, and receive valuable feedback. Whether singing, dancing, or performing comedy, contestants experience the thrill of the spotlight and the support of an enthusiastic audience. Beyond the excitement, Star Search events foster personal growth, creativity, and community engagement. They provide a platform to discover hidden talents, build stage presence, and even open doors to future opportunities. Most importantly, these events celebrate passion, dedication, and the joy of performing—proving that every star deserves a chance to shine!
This year, twelve finalists will compete in front of an esteemed panel of local celebrity judges, including Cedar City Mayor Garth O. Green, Southern Utah University President Mindy Benson, and Cedar City Children’s Musical Theater Founder and President Jewly Krause.
Cedar City Events is looking forward to partnering with Canyon Creek Services for another year of philanthropic efforts to raise money and awareness for the life-saving services they provide. This community-based non-profit advocacy organization serves Beaver, Iron, and Garfield counties and offers free, confidential, and comprehensive services to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.
“Cedar City Star Search is always an exciting evening filled with music, dancing, and quality entertainment,” said Cedar City Events Director and event host Brandon Burk. “While it’s a free event, we hope the community will come together and share a donation at the door for Canyon Creek Services– every penny counts.”
Thanks to Clark & Linford Jewelers, the event sponsor, contestants in each age division and category could win up to $250. The categories are Youth, Teen, Adult, Group, and Audience Choice. Contestants in years past include dancers, singers, musicians, ventriloquists, acrobats, magicians, comedians, and more!
