A burst of fall color is coming to Kanab this July, not just in the trees and gardens—but in two local galleries.

The Kanab Arts Board’s Third Quarter Exhibition, “Harvest Hues,” brings together an eclectic group of local artists working in mediums ranging from watercolor and oil to pottery, stained glass, fiber arts, and mixed media. Highlighting the vibrant colors of autumn, the exhibit will be on display at Kane County Hospital and Kanab City Library from July 17 through September 25.

The public is warmly invited to attend the Opening Reception on Wednesday, July 17 at 5:30 PM, hosted at the Kane County Hospital Lobby.

“This initiative is about celebrating both the spirit of autumn and the talent that lives right here in our town,” said Claudia Thomas, president of the Kanab Arts Board.

Alongside the gallery show, the Arts Board continues its free Summer Entertainment Series, offering creative workshops for all ages. The hands-on events take place twice a month through August, with upcoming classes including:

  • Introduction to Photography Using Your Phone or Camera with Stacy Cox – July 8
  • Ukulele Workshop with Robert Lacey – July 21
  • Watercolor Painting with Loretta Clayson – August 5
  • Drawing Workshop with Dr. Buck – August 19

Each class is designed to be fun, educational, and accessible, reinforcing the Arts Board’s commitment to community creativity. Whether you’re a beginner looking to try something new or a seasoned artist wanting to connect with others, there’s a class for you.

From gallery walls to community classrooms, the Kanab Arts Board is painting a picture of a town where the arts are alive, inclusive, and warmly welcoming.
