Winter may bring colder temperatures, but runners in Southern Utah are encouraged not to hibernate. The annual Chilly Willy 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon returns to St. George on Saturday, January 3, offering a brisk and energizing way to start the new year.
The race takes place on the trails of St. George, with all distances starting and finishing at Crosby Family Confluence Park. All races begin at 9 AM, and participants can choose to compete in person or join virtually, making the event accessible to runners near and far.
Every registered runner receives a Chilly Willy long-sleeve race shirt and a finisher medal. Chip timing will be used for all in-person races, with awards presented for Overall finishers, Top 3 Masters, Top 3 Grand Masters, Top 3 Senior Masters, and the top three finishers in each five-year age group. The combination of scenic trails, winter air, and a supportive race atmosphere has made Chilly Willy a seasonal favorite for both competitive runners and casual participants.
Registration is offered in multiple tiers, including early bird, regular, late, and race-day options, with discounted pricing available for runners who opt out of the race shirt. Participants registered by December 24 are guaranteed race swag in their selected size, while supplies last after that date.
Runners looking to start 2026 on an active note can find full registration details and sign up online.
