The creative side of St. George’s city workforce will take center stage this month as the second-annual City Art Show opens at the Red Cliff Gallery from August 12–22. The exhibition showcases paintings, leatherworks, jewelry, pottery, and other works crafted by City of St. George employees.

“When members of our community interact with our firefighters, maintenance crews, landscapers, police officers, and other City employees, those connections are usually fairly brief,” said Michelle Graves, Assistant Parks and Community Services Director for the City of St. George. “What those community members may not realize is that many of our staffers are brimming with all kinds of creative talent. We’re always delighted to display artistic works from community members at the Red Cliff Gallery, so an exhibition showcasing our employees’ creations will be extra special.”

The Red Cliff Gallery is located in the City Commons Building at 220 N 200 E. An opening night reception will be held August 12 from 5 to 7 PM, with refreshments served while supplies last. The gallery is open Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM and Saturday from noon to 4 PM.
