The Washington City Arts Council invites the community to celebrate spring at Color & Light: A Spring Arts Celebration, the 2026 Spring Art Gala, on Saturday, March 28, from 4 PM to 7 PM at Heritage Hall, 25 E. Telegraph Street, in historic downtown Washington. This free community event welcomes guests of all ages for an evening honoring the creativity and spirit of Southern Utah’s local arts community.

The theme “Color & Light” reflects the beauty of spring in Southern Utah — bright skies, blooming landscapes, and renewed energy. It also speaks to the role art plays in everyday life, bringing inspiration, connection and fresh perspective. The gala is designed as a warm, welcoming gathering where guests can slow down, explore and enjoy art in a relaxed setting.

Live art demonstrations will provide a behind-the-scenes look at how color, texture and light come together in real time. Live music will create an uplifting atmosphere, and light refreshments will be available as guests mingle and explore.
