The Art Around the Corner Foundation is putting a defining piece of public art directly in the hands of the community. With finalists now selected for its 2026–2027 Outdoor Sculpture Gallery, Greater St. George residents are invited to vote on which of three sculptures will become the next landmark installation at the roundabout on Main Street and 200 North.
For the first time in the program’s history, the Foundation is asking the public to help choose a major installation, underscoring the role of public art as a shared civic experience.
“This is public art in the truest sense of the word,” said AACF Board Chair Lysa McCarroll. “These sculptures will greet thousands of people every day. We want the community to feel a sense of pride and ownership every time they drive through that roundabout. This vote is their chance to help shape a landmark.”

After careful review, the AACF Board selected three sculptures designed to meet the unique demands of a highly visible roundabout location. The finalists are “The Sink Sphere” by Scott Whitaker, “Rip Tide” by Diego Harris, and “Together” by Nate Brinhall. Each piece was evaluated for durability and suitability for Southern Utah’s climate, engineered to withstand winter lows near 25°F and summer highs exceeding 115°F. Sculptures are at least 24 inches tall and/or wide and structurally sound for public spaces, including the occasional curious child.
The City of St. George works closely with AACF to coordinate and support the installation. Community members can view the finalist sculptures and cast a vote on the Art Around the Corner Foundation website.

The winning sculpture will be announced in February.
Looking ahead, the 2026–2027 Outdoor Sculpture Gallery will officially open in March, transforming downtown St. George with a fresh collection of world-class outdoor art. Programming includes An Evening with the Artists on March 27 at the Hilton Garden Inn, followed by a free Community Day with the Artists in Town Square Park on Saturday from 10 AM to noon. All are welcome.
