From April 21 through April 27, our vibrant community will come alive with a series of events that honor our rich heritage and bring neighbors together for a week of unforgettable fun.
Kickoff with a Patriotic Tribute
Join the festivities on April 21 at 6 PM with the unveiling of the brand-new George Washington statue at the George Washington Plaza. This event pays homage to America’s Founding Father and the namesake of our beloved city. Join city leaders and fellow residents as we celebrate this monumental addition to our community.
Dance the Night Away at the Cotton Ball
On April 25 from 7 PM to 10 PM, the newly remodeled Heritage Hall at Veterans Park will host the annual Cotton Ball. Presented by the Washington Area Chamber, this evening promises lively music and dancing. Tickets are priced at $25 per person or $40 per couple. Don’t miss this chance to dress up and dance the night away!
Family Fun Under the Stars
Also on April 25 at 8:30 PM, Veterans Park transforms into an open-air theater for a special screening of Disney’s “Up.” Sponsored by the Washington Area Chamber of Commerce, this free event invites families to enjoy a heartwarming movie under the stars, complete with local vendors and delicious food options.
Start Your Day Right with the Lions Club Breakfast
Rise and shine on April 26 for the Lions Club Breakfast at Veterans Park from 7 AM to 10 AM. For a modest fee, indulge in a hearty meal of ham, eggs, and pancakes. All proceeds support community service projects, scholarships, and sight programs. Rumor has it, Mayor Kress Staheli might even be on hand to serve you personally!

Race to the Finish: Cotton Days 5K
Lace up your running shoes for the Cotton Days 5K on April 26 at 7 AM. This family-friendly run along the scenic Virgin River Trail starts at Sullivan Soccer Park. Registration is $25 for the first family member and $15 for each additional member (up to six people). Participants receive a free Cotton Days 5K shirt and a breakfast voucher.
Parade and Car Show Extravaganza
The excitement continues with the Parade on April 26 at 9 AM along Telegraph Street. Featuring floats, performers, and community groups, it’s a spectacle not to be missed. Following the parade, head to Nisson Park for the free Car Show-N-Shine, showcasing a stunning array of vehicles.

From 10 AM on April 26, Veterans Park hosts the Cotton Fest, a lively celebration with live entertainment, dance performances, vendor booths, games, bounce houses, a heritage show, and even a tractor pull. There’s something for everyone at this community gathering!
Historical Walk with the Mayor
At 11 AM on April 26, join Mayor Kress Staheli for a guided tour of Washington City’s historical sites. The walk begins and ends at the Old Museum on Telegraph, offering insights into our city’s rich past.
Tractor Pull and Cornhole Tournament
The afternoon of April 26 features a free Tractor Pull at 1 PM in the old Nisson’s Foodtown parking lot. Witness antique tractors in action—a treat for all ages. Simultaneously, a family-friendly cornhole tournament kicks off at Veterans Park, open to teams aged 12 and above.
Evening Concert with The Ed Tracey Band
Conclude the day’s festivities on April 26 from 7 PM to 9 PM at Veterans Park with a free concert by The Ed Tracey Band. Bring your family and friends to enjoy great music in a fantastic atmosphere.
Sunday Fireside and Grand Marshals Introduction
The celebrations wrap up on April 27 at 6 PM with a Sunday Fireside at the Old School Gym, Heritage Hall. Meet the Grand Marshals of this year’s Cotton Days and hear about their contributions to the community, followed by refreshments and socializing.
