County attorney candidates Belnap, Caplin discuss veterans issues at upcoming debate
The Independent
Candidates for the Washington County Attorney’s office will meet to discuss veterans issues at the St. George Vet Center on Wednesday, June 11.
Republican candidates Brock Belnap and Nathan Caplin are both vying for their party’s nomination. Because there are no Democrat or third-party candidates running, the winner of the June 24 Republican primary will go on to win the general election by default.
The debate is sponsored by the St. George Mayor’s Veteran Action Council and will allow each candidate 45 minutes to respond to five questions related to veterans affairs. The candidates will appear separately, and neither will know in advance what questions they will be asked.
The debate will begin at 5 p.m. on Wednesday at the St. George Vet Center, 1664 S. Dixie Dr. Suite 102.
