The 2017 Creative Age Conference will be held Oct. 12–14 at the Eccles Fine Arts Center at Dixie State University in St. George.
The multidisciplinary conference caters to adults seeking opportunities to expand their horizons and improve the quality of their lives past retirement. It features artists, art therapists, recreation and activity coordinators, aging services and healthcare professionals, service organizations, caregivers, healers, elected officials, policymakers, funders, and more. Workshops will be given by community planners, medical specialists and certified art, music, and drama therapists.
The conference opens Oct. 12 at the Eccles Fine Arts Center with breakfast at 7:30 a.m., lunch at noon, workshops and speakers until 5 p.m., and optional dine-around opportunities for dinner. On Oct. 13, breakfast will start at 7:30, lunch will be at noon, workshops and speakers will go until 5 p.m. and a gala dinner and art auction with entertainment will be held at 6 p.m. at Gardner Hall. On Oct. 13, breakfast will start at 7:30, lunch will be at noon, workshops and speakers will go until 5 p.m.
