Pace grew up in Provo and graduated from Brigham Young University and the University of Utah. As a longtime arts and humanities advocate and as the literary editor of 15 Bytes art magazine, Pace feeds the pulse of Utah’s art scene. He has devoted 15 years to getting his debut novel ready for print. “Dream House on Golan Drive” won first place in the Utah Original Writing Competition.
Pace’s novel, “Dream House on Golan Drive,” takes readers on a farcical, thoughtful tour of the quirks and dramas befalling Riley who must step outside the Utah bubble to learn what he truly believes. He is in good company as his edgy, attentive ancients, 2,000 years old, know a bit about the pitfalls of perfection.
“David Pace’s wry bruised novel is accessible, revelatory and startling.” Ellen Fagg Weist of the Salt Lake Tribune calls “Dream House on Golan Drive” “lovingly satirical” and “inspired by a cultural and familial milieu he knows intimately.”
