DC Pub & Grill is more than just the music, though. The menu draws fans too—with signature mountain phillys, classic Rueben sandwiches, and a lineup of hearty burgers all served alongside 20 beers on tap.

DC Pub & Grill has quickly become a Southern Utah favorite for food, drinks, and a solid live-music vibe. Owners Azure Dodson and Ashley Pyne took over what was already the deli in Duck Creek in 2022 and gave it new life—transforming it into a family-friendly pub with a liquor license in 2023. By 2024, they’d expanded to Cedar City. “We love showcasing local and regional artists at two amazing locations,” Dodson says—and they’ve packed both venues with live music every weekend this season.

In Cedar City, things kick off May 10 with St. George favorites The Mixx, a six-piece outfit that mixes crowd-pleasing Top-40 and classic rock into an irresistible dance-party blend. Runaway Fire brings soaring vocals and guitar-driven original rock on May 16. The Paddle Out Band joins the Cedar schedule on May 17 with their unique blend of dream-pop, reggae, and indie rock. Then on May 24, nationally touring outlaw one-man band Tom Bennett takes the stage, stomping a kick-drum suitcase while spinning gritty country-blues storytelling.

Over in Duck Creek, the live sets run from 3 to 6 PM starting Memorial Day weekend with Las Vegas troubadour Mike Dean playing both May 24 and 25. He delivers soulful country covers and heartfelt originals with rootsy flair. Kimmee B fires things up on May 31 with Texas-style country-rock energy. Tom Bennett returns June 7, The Mixx heads up the mountain on June 28, and The Paddle Out Band wraps the Independence Day weekend July 5 with mellow mountain vibes.

DC Pub & Grill is more than just the music, though. The menu draws fans too—with signature mountain phillys, classic Rueben sandwiches, and a lineup of hearty burgers all served alongside 20 beers on tap. There’s never a cover charge, and both spots are open until 11 PM, giving folks time to enjoy post-show drinks, shoot some pool, or just soak in the mountain air around a fire pit.
