Dixie Regional Medical Center hosts National Donate Life Month ceremonyDixie Regional Medical Center hosts National Donate Life Month ceremony

A flag-raising ceremony to celebrate National Donate Life Month will be held April 6 at 11 a.m. at the Dixie Regional Healing Garden, near Intermountain Dixie Regional Medical Center’s north main entrance and the flag pole. There will be a brief program and refreshments. The event is free and open to the public.

Donate Life Month honors people who have donated organs. For example, Ryan Wooley chose to indicate “yes” on his driver’s license, showing that he was willing to have his organs donated upon death. Wooley’s organ donations have positively affected multiple people. Families like the Wooleys are invited to come and share their stories and honor their loved ones.

National Donate Life Month was instituted by Donate Life America. Celebrated in April each year, it features activities to help encourage Americans to register as organ, eye, and tissue donors and to celebrate those who have saved lives through donation.
