The Dixie Watercolor Society presents “Wild for Watercolors,” its spring watercolor show and competition Feb. 15–27 at the Main Street Plaza Foyer at 20 Main St. in St. George. The show will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day except Sunday. A reception to meet the artists will be held on Feb. 20 from 5 to 6 p.m. Light refreshments will be served, and the public is invited to the reception and to meet the artists.
The one-of-a-kind semiannual show showcases the talents of transparent watercolor artists in the St. George area. Transparent watercolor is a medium that is not only difficult but can create some fascinating color combinations from mixtures of watercolors on paper.
All of the artists are local and belong to the Dixie Watercolor Society. All works will be for sale, and only watercolors will be exhibited. The show will be judged by renowned Utah artist Frank Huff.
