Presented by the Utah Tech University Entertainment Alliance, Dixie’s Got Talent is an annual tradition that raises funds for Utah Tech University student scholarships while offering local performers an opportunity to share their craft with the community, gain exposure, and vie for cash prizes.
“Dixie’s Got Talent is one of our family’s favorite community traditions,” said Dr. Jordon Sharp, vice president of marketing & communication at Utah Tech and a past DGT winner. “This event brings out the best in all of us, whether we are performing or supporting. There is so much talent in our area, and there is nothing better than experiencing that talent together as we cheer on our friends, family, and neighbors.”
The first round of auditions was held through video submissions, with contestants competing in the youth, adult, or group category. Nearly half of these contestants will be invited to participate in the next round: in-person callback auditions on August 9. From there, the top eight contestants in each category will be selected as one of the 24 acts to perform at the 2025 Dixie’s Got Talent Finale.
This year, the Finale will be held at 7:30 PM on September 13 in the Main Stage Theater at Utah Tech’s Eccles Fine Arts Center, in conjunction with the City of St. George’s annual Dixie Days celebration.
At the Finale, a panel of judges and audience voting will determine the winner and runner-up in each category. Finale tickets are $20 each and will be available for purchase beginning at 9 AM on August 15 visit our website.
