Utah Tech University and the City of St. George present the 16th season of the DOCUTAH International Film Festival.

The 2026 Festival will take place February 26 through the 28th at the Megaplex Theatres on Sunset, offering three full days of newly released documentary films. Many premiering for the first time in this region, the 57 films have all been released within the last two years.

Also premiering regionally, Super/Man: The Christopher Reeve Story, will be the festival’s closing film and recipient of the festival’s distinctive Trailblazer Award.

In response to learning of the award, Matthew Reeve, son of Christopher and Dana Reeve, said he and his siblings were so happy to hear of DOCUTAH “screening the Super/Man film and honoring our dad with a posthumous award, we deeply appreciate your recognition of his achievement.”

The Trailblazer is given by DOCUTAH to individuals who have made a significant contribution to society. That and all other awards will be given at the awards ceremony Saturday, February 28 at 8 pm at the Megaplex Theaters’ on Sunset. The DOCUTAH awards ceremony will feature filmmakers visiting southern Utah from all over the world.

In addition to the events at the Megaplex Theatres on Sunset, the DOCTalk Masterclasses will take place on the campus of Utah Tech University the mornings of February 26 & 27 at 9 am in the Zions Bank Room of the Holland Centennial Commons Library. Featuring two powerful films, the DOCTalk Masterclasses are free to the public and will include intensive post-screening discussion with the filmmakers.
