DOVE Center recently welcomed Natalie Ashby, Thomas Bayles, Tammie Richeson, and Amori Shaw to its Board of Trustees.
“Our board is continuing to develop and I am eager to learn what these newest members will bring to our organization,” said Cindy Richardson, board president.
The new trustees join existing board members Leslie Bowler, Lori Burgess, Shonie Christensen, Debra Townsend, and Ruth Weniger along with executive committee members Richardson, Teri Koenig, Sharon Hoiekvam, and Mary Barth.
Trustees work closely with DOVE Center staff and play an active role on various committees such as community partnerships, prevention education, marketing and communications, volunteering and fundraising.
“I can’t say enough about how much I appreciate the experience, wisdom, and dedication of our trustees,” said Lindsey Boyer, DOVE Center’s executive director. “The work we do with survivors of domestic and sexual violence is so vital to our community, and our trustees do so much to help us expand our reach and improve delivery of services to those who need it most.”
Departing the DOVE board are Joanie Ayers, Calob Johnston, Andrea Roberts, and Pat Shoemaker-Glessner, who has worked with DOVE in some capacity for over 20 years.
“It is difficult to say goodbye to individuals who have been such an integral part of the center’s work,” said Richardson. “But we will always be grateful for their contributions.”
Board members meet monthly and may serve up to two three-year terms. More information about board service is available from outreach@dovecenter.org or by calling (435) 628-1204.
