The Eureka Casino Resort is rolling out two nights of Halloween fun, kicking off with the 14th Annual Shreeek-Reeka on Oct. 30 and debuting the new adults-only Freeek-Reeka on Oct. 31.
Both events will take place in the resort’s VIP parking lot, uniting families, local businesses, nonprofits, and partygoers for a weekend filled with spooky fun and festive energy.
What started as a small neighborhood event has grown into one of Mesquite’s most anticipated traditions. More than 1,000 people are expected to attend Shreeek-Reeka from 6–9 PM, featuring four haunted houses, over 20 trick-or-treat booths, carnival games, and mountains of candy for kids of all ages.
Eureka employee-owners volunteer as actors, decorators, and hosts to keep the night running smoothly. “Shreeek-Reeka has grown beyond our wildest expectations, and it’s a joy to see the community come together every year,” said Gerri Chasko, Director of the Eureka Community Initiative.
A highlight of the evening is the haunted house contest, where local nonprofit groups compete for a $1,000 donation prize. Each group receives $500 from the Eureka Community Initiative to design and build a 20×40-foot haunted house. Attendees vote for their favorites, while judges select the scariest overall. This year’s participants include the Virgin Valley Artists Association, Mesquite Rotary Clubs, Virgin Valley High School Theater Group, and Future Farmers of America.
The fun continues with Freeek-Reeka, a 21+ Halloween party on Oct. 31 from 7–10 PM. The evening features DJ Fuego, food trucks, and costume contests with cash and casino prizes. Admission is $10, which includes one free drink and entry into six $100 Free Play drawings (Gold Club membership required to win).
“Shreeek-Reeka brings the entire community together to celebrate Halloween,” said Andre Carrier, CEO of Eureka Casinos. “We’re all in this together, building a celebration that families—and now adults—can enjoy year after year.”
