Dixie Convention Center hosts Family Roots ExpoOn Sept. 15 and 16, the Dixie Convention Center in St. George will host the Family Roots Expo with two concerts, keynote speakers, over 110 booths, and an interactive expo hall. Attendees can learn to pan for gold and dip candles, enjoy Native American dancers, and experience life as a pioneer with experts on hand to help search out ancestors.

Keynote speakers John Bytheway, Merill and Justin Osmond, Dallin A. Larsen, Glenn Rawson, Daniel Rona, and the Eyre family will lend their perspectives on family history.

On the evening of Sept. 15, country western singer Chris Petersen will present a “Salute to Our Veterans” concert, and vocal trio GENTRI will perform Sept. 16.

A benefit auction will be held Sept. 15 at 6:30 p.m. with proceeds used to benefit area veterans. A $200 Visa gift card, a $900 Stealth Pro Angler kayak from Lifetime, and two chances to secure $1,000 worth of cut and wrapped beef from Oak Rose Ranch are some of the items to be auctioned. There will also be a silent auction.

An adult platinum two-day pass ($69) includes 80 class choices, four keynote speakers, admission to both concerts, and preferred concert seating in the center rows.

An adult two-day pass ($49) includes 80 class choices and four keynote speakers.

An adult one-day pass ($29) includes 40 class choices and two keynote speakers.

A youth one-day pass (free) includes four class choices and one keynote speaker.

Tickets to Petersen’s “Salute to Our Veterans” concert are $15, and tickets to GENTRI’s concert are $25. Admission to the expo hall is free.
