February at So U Comedy Theater is packed with fresh energy, audience-driven laughs, and a new fundraising initiative that blends heart, humor, and just enough chaos to keep things interesting.

This month introduces two new cast members, Christian and Rhett, who make their debut appearances on February 7 and 21. Joining the regular ensemble, the new additions bring bold choices and fresh perspectives to shows that remain entirely unscripted and shaped by audience suggestions. As with every So U Comedy performance, no two nights are ever the same, making repeat visits part of the fun.

February also marks the return of Improv 101, an eight-week introductory course beginning February 10. Held on Tuesday nights and taught by instructors Anitra and Jay, the class covers the fundamentals of improvisation in a supportive and encouraging environment. Designed for anyone curious about improv, whether frequent audience members or first-time performers, the course emphasizes confidence, creativity, and connection. The theater’s guiding philosophy, “Improv for Everyone,” reflects a belief that the benefits of improv extend beyond the stage into everyday life, communication, and collaboration.

Looking ahead to March, So U Comedy Theater will launch its first-ever Dare To Care initiative, a month-long fundraiser benefiting a local nonprofit. The concept challenges cast members to complete increasingly outrageous dares as donation milestones are met. As fundraising totals grow, so does the level of commitment from the performers, with dares ranging from public dance-offs to cold-water plunges and other unexpected antics. Each completed dare will be shared on social media, allowing donors and fans to follow the unfolding mayhem in real time.

Founding member Anne Schwab described the motivation behind the project as a response to both community needs and the spirit of improv itself. She noted that improvisors tend to bring fearlessness, generosity, and passion into everything they do, and that Dare To Care offers a creative way to give back while spreading joy.

So U Comedy Theater hosts a family-friendly show at 7 PM and an uncensored show at 9 PM. Tickets are available online at soucomedy.com or at the door, with discounts offered. Updates and dare suggestions can be found by following So U Comedy Theater on Facebook and Instagram.
