Operations:
Fire crews have secured the north, northeast, south, and most of the western flanks of the France Canyon Fire. Suppression repair work continues today along the eastern edge, with mastication and dozer line repair underway. Crews remain on alert for potential dry lightning activity, continuing patrol and mop-up efforts to deepen the containment line.

Despite Red Flag conditions on July 1, firefighters began dozer line repair between Skunk and Badger Creeks near the Little Bear Fire footprint. Hose has been removed from most areas, except around structures in Johnson Canyon. In the southwest corner, crews are relocating equipment for ongoing repair work. Seeding operations have been completed on the west and southern perimeter, and repair efforts continue under guidance from the Resource Advisor.

Fire Restrictions:
Stage 1 Fire Restrictions are currently in effect for all state lands and unincorporated private lands in the region, including State Parks, Trust Lands, and Wildlife Management Areas. This does not affect incorporated towns or cities. Bryce Canyon National Park, Dixie National Forest, Color Country BLM District, and Paria River BLM District are all under Stage 1 restrictions.
