Frontier Folklife Festival features art and music

The third annual Frontier Folklife Festival featuring art, music, and living history demonstrations will be held in Cedar City 11 a.m.–7 p.m. June 22 and 10 a.m.–6 p.m. June 23. Admission is free.

Featured performers include the Washburn Family Bluegrass Band, Karyn Whittemore, and Jeryelee. The entire performance schedule can be found at frontierhomestead.org/folk-fest.

“We’ve been talking about expanding the festival and including a living history experience since the beginning,” says Todd Prince, Frontier Homestead State Park manager. “Working with our museum foundation, we finally decided to take the leap and offer an expanded experience to the community and all our patrons. It will be a great event for anyone attracted to history, the visual arts, and folk music.”

More information is available by calling (435) 586-9290 or emailing frontierhomestead@utah.gov. Frontier Homestead State Park Museum is located at 635 N. Main St. in Cedar City.
