Frontier Homestead State Park Museum Upcoming Events
November 10-11 & December 6-9, 2023
Frontier Homestead State Park, where history becomes your story, in partnership with the Cedar City Corporation, celebrates the founding of Cedar City with two days of hands-on activities designed to honor the spirit of our community and those who created opportunities for growth. Enjoy the cool, crisp fall air on Friday, November 10, and Saturday, November 11, as Frontier Homestead hosts its annual Iron Mission Days. The cost is $2 per person or $5 for families of up to 8.
On Friday, November 10, guests can enjoy self-guided pioneer activities beginning at 10 AM. Activities will include pioneer games, hand-cart pulling, and maypole dancing. The local HAM radio club will also broadcast from our museum throughout the day. Then, join us for a candlelight tour Friday evening. Tours will begin at 5:30 and run every half hour until 7 PM.
Saturday, November 11, in addition to the self-guided activities and the HAM radio club, we’ll have several living history demonstrations, including our ever-popular blacksmith working in the forge. Shop for gifts for others or yourself at our artisan vendor market and join us for birthday cake served by Cedar City Corporation. Activities will run from 10 AM to 4 PM on Saturday.
Even though snow hasn’t yet begun to fall, winter is not far off. Mark your calendars for Holidays at the Homestead scheduled for December 6 – 9 from 5:30 to 8 PM each evening. Festivities will include crafts, entertainment, and possibly a visit from a Christmas VIP.
Our Homestead events will spark your imagination and provide adventure for the whole family, so join us for the fun.
