Gateway Preparatory Academy Presents Once on This Island JR.
Gateway Preparatory Academy students are bringing the vibrant story of Once on This Island JR. to life! This musical adaptation of The Little Mermaid is set in the Caribbean and follows Ti Moune, a young peasant girl who falls in love with Daniel, a boy from a wealthy family. Guided by the island’s gods, she embarks on a journey that tests the power of love against the forces of prejudice and fate. April 3-4, 2025, In Cedar City.
Join us for two unforgettable performances at The Heritage Center Theater (105 N 100 E, Cedar City, UT 84720) on April 3rd & 4th at 7:30 PM. Tickets are $5 in advance, $8 at the door, and can be purchased at gpacharter.org.
This production showcases the hard work of 50 talented student actors and singers, supported by Gateway’s stagecraft class, which designed and built all the sets and props.
The production team includes Emilee Clements (choreography), Sarah Shelly (musical director), David Cowley (technical director), and Nathan Fergason (director).
