The 8th annual Beaver Dam Jam is happening a full month earlier this year so mark your calendar now. This year’s three day music festival in Littlefield, AZ is set to kick off May 1 and will run the entire weekend through Sunday, May 3. The outdoor venue will host up to 16 bands grooving music from a variety of genres from rock, blues, Irish ethnic, to reggae and more.
Bill Evans, owner of Beaver Dam Station, is the man responsible for bringing this event to the quaint town of Littlefield.
“We just thought, nothing ever happens in Beaver Dam, so we started this and it has always been fun,” he said. “It gets bigger and better every year.”
The venue will have food and beverage vendors abounding to keep attendees hydrated and fed while they take in the music and hang out with cool people from all over the Southwest.
Evans said the majority of people who attend are from Mesquite, St. George and Cedar City, but the event’s notoriety is building and people from as far away as Salt Lake City and Los Angeles are making the trek for the all-weekend event.
The schedule includes:
Friday the event starts at 3 pm with Joe Sherman, then Soul What, Larry Lawman Country Strung, and The Fabulous Honky Tonk Heros. Saturday begins at 1030 with the Lawn mower races in the back of the station, Most Wanted, Micah Walk Band, Chaotic Resemblance, Aura Surreal, Mister Hyde, and then music in the bar afterward. Sunday the music beings at noon with Joe Sherman, then Dakota Nights, Jensen Buck and The Family, and Ronny Lee and the Original Rtro. Kids free in the venue must be 21 to be in the bar.
Mark your calendar and head on down to Littlefield for some fun in the sun with food and music and a little roughhousing to boot!
