During this time of year, groups of golfers from the Midwest to the Pacific coastline will take advantage of the mild winter and spring climates here in St. George and Mesquite to come play golf for a week. Tee times can become a little scarce at your favorite local courses during peak times of day. But, due to the recent boom of smartphone technology and applications, the ability to find tee times and availability is now at your fingertips. Just like any list of similar applications used for Android and Apple devices, there is an array of choices to pick from when downloading tee time apps. For iPhone users, there are currently 800 applications available online for reserving tee times. Knowing when and where you want to play will make a huge difference in finding competitive and discounted prices for tee times. Several golf courses have their own applications. Other facilities that are managed by a consortium will have their selection of golf courses to choose from. Some of the most popular and nationally branded applications used are through Golf Now, most notably TeeTimes.com and GolfNow mobile. The revolutionary move to making tee times online and/or through mobile apps has enabled golfers to find great deals on last-minute tee times. This process is very similar to booking on websites such as Orbitz, Travelocity, Priceline, etc., that advertise discounted rates on hotels, rental cars and airfare.
In the past, calling the golf shop to get tee times could be difficult with call wait times, hours of operation and pricing. Utilizing online reservations will save you money and time.
