To get a feel for the stage, come to our Community Practice Nights every Monday at 7 PM at the St. George Rec Center. These open sessions are a great way to learn the basics of improv, meet the cast, and test out your funny bone in a supportive, no-pressure environment. If you’re looking for a deeper dive, keep an eye on our social media for registration details for the next Improv 101 course, starting in early 2026. Education is at the heart of So U! Upon completing the Improv 101 class, Jami Leavit recalled her desire to join an improv group and her experience as an active participant rather than just a patron. “As I was running for office, I needed a creative outlet and one that could also help me overcome my fear of public speaking. It’s been a fantastic experience—learning the skill and letting go while playing has been really great for my mental health. The best part has been connecting with other people in the improv community who share the same interest!”
