Habitat for Humanity hosts rappelling fundraiser
By Lil Barron
On Sept. 14, one of St. George’s favorite nonprofit organizations will bring its fundraising to new heights with a unique and thrilling event. Partnering with Over The Edge Global, supporters of Habitat for Humanity of Southwest Utah will rappel from the Hyatt Place St. George to raise funds and awareness for building and repairing homes in Washington County. You can nominate your boss, your family, or your friends and then Toss your Boss, Fling your Friend, or Flip your Family over the edge! Conquer your fears; you don’t have to be experienced to do this fun event! Either way, you get to rappel off a building in our community.
Individuals must raise $1,000 from family, friends, co-workers, and social media followers in order to secure their rappelling position. To register or learn more, visit overtheedgestg.com.
Rappels begin at 9 a.m. Friday morning and will continue throughout the day until 4:30 p.m.
