Two not-to-be-missed cinematic events are returning to St. George, UT just in time for Halloween;

HITCH FEST: YEAR TWO
OCTOBER 9TH

Finally, a film festival that’s for the birds…Literally! The passionate cinephiles over at JakCine Entertainment have a big day in store for Alfred Hitchcock fans on Saturday, October 9th at the Electric Theater. Hitch Fest: Year Two will treat attendees to a day-long tribute to the master of suspense.  Included; 5 incredible Hitchcock films presented on the big screen followed by a lively and insightful conversation with a panel of esteemed Hitchcock aficionados headed by the likes of storytellers/film historians, Caleb Hatton, April VeVea, Carlos Plummer, and Colin Cunningham. Expect some delightful surprises throughout the event as well because after all, what would a celebration of Hitchcock be without surprises? Cooler still, Hitch Fest: Year Two is a FREE event for the community! Yet another reason to attend! HORRORFEST INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL
OCTOBER 20TH-23RD

The HorrorFest International Film Festival returns to the Electric Theater from Wednesday, October 20th thru Saturday, October 23rd. Presented by the nonprofit, Film and Media Alliance of Southern Utah (FMASU), this spine-tingling, Halloween-inspired 4-day cinematic event is embarking on its 19th consecutive year. HorrorFest International will showcase genre films–features and shorts–from all around the world. Titles will include the buzzed-about witch-centric rock ‘n roll mother/daughter story, “Hellbender,” the all puppet fantasy/monster mashup, “Frank and Zed,” the Norway-set psychological slow burn, “To Freddy,” the Fantasia Film Festival hit, “You’re Dead Helen,” and much more! Over 50 films over the course of 4 fright-filled days! HorrorFest International will also include special guests, filmmaker Q&As, storyteller panels, a local filmmaker showcase, a costume contest, a live script reading, an awards gala, and much more!
