According to a recent study about holiday gifts for dogs, Utah dog owners were expected to spend an average of $28 per dog this holiday season, and 71 percent of U.S. dog owners will give their dog a gift this holiday season. To conduct this study, TheNosePrint.com asked 3,000 Americans about their dog-related holiday habits, including whether their dog is involved in gift-giving, stocking-stuffing, holiday sweater-wearing, and other holiday traditions.

The study also revealed the top five reasons that Americans purchase holiday gifts for dogs.
–To express love to my dog: 72 percent (of respondents who agreed with this reason)
–Because it’s fun for me: 60 percent
–To help my dog feel included like a family member: 54 percent
–To give my dog a moment of happiness: 53 percent
–To feel closer and bond with my dog: 43 percent
