Peter
Peter is a big, goofy dog looking for a person or a family who’ll spend some quality time with him. He loves to do training and really enjoys doing activities where he can use his mind. Peter is perfect on a leash and loves walking with people. He also enjoys car rides and playing with toys. He’s been good with all the dogs he’s met at the Sanctuary, and he likes to roll around and wrestle with them. Born in 2015, Peter is an active dog, but he doesn’t have to be doing something constantly. He’s a sunbather who really likes being outside and lounging around with people. Peter does have anxiety, especially when he is left alone. He can climb a six-foot fence and trees to escape a yard or enclosure. He lost his previous home because he kept escaping and wandering around the neighborhood. He’ll need to find a home where he can be kept safe and secure at all times.
Rella
Rella has a gorgeous coat and endearing eyes. She is shy at first, but she will make you feel very special when you earn her trust. Although she was born in 2008, she is just learning how to enjoy walks and is discovering new things in the world around her. Rella came to Best Friends from a shelter that was closing and may never have had a home of her own. She is looking for a home with someone who has the time and patience to guide her. She would also appreciate the company of a kind dog who can show her the ropes in a new home. Rella has a generous sponsor who will cover her adoption fee.
Blue
Blue is an extremely active and energetic dog. He is motivated to learn, and he picks new things up quickly. Here at the Sanctuary, he is a rock star at agility, a fun doggie sport. He also does nose work, a search and scenting sport, and he enjoys long walks and runs. Blue is an amazing fetch partner and will play ball all day long. He loves doing almost anything that keeps his mind and body active. Born in 2012, Blue can get very jumpy when he is excited. He is looking for a dog savvy and experienced adopter in an adult only home. In a previous home, he has bitten several times. He has also shown aggression toward other dogs and cats, so he cannot live with either of them. Blue has some environmental allergies and is on a prescription diet. He is the kind of dog who would thrive with the guidance of an active person who has the time and desire to work with him and bring out his best.
Abraham
Abraham is a purr box and very affectionate. It doesn’t matter whether you’re an old friend or someone he just met. He loves to play with his brother Alfonso, but he’s not so great with other cats and he doesn’t like to share attention. Born in late 2017, Abraham was found as a stray. He has Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV), so he’ll need to be an only cat or live with other cats who have the virus. Hint: Brother Alfonso also has FeLV, so it would be great to adopt them together. Abraham loves to snuggle. He loves to go on stroller rides, especially with Alfonso. They wrestle while they’re riding and are hilarious to watch. Abraham loves wand toys and loves to play!
Alfonso
Alfonso can be a little skittish around new people until he gets comfortable. He’s affectionate towards cats he knows; he’s playful and loving with his brother Abraham. Born in late 2017, Alfonso was found as a stray. He has Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV), so he’ll need to be an only cat or live with other cats who have the virus. Hint: Brother Abraham also has FeLV, so it would be great to adopt them together. Alfonso has a tail that is so long it curls up over his back. He loves to go on stroller rides, especially with Abraham. They wrestle while they’re riding and are hilarious to watch.
Checkers
Checkers does really well with people, whether she’s just met you or you’re an old friend. She loves to be petted. Checkers enjoys going for rides in a stroller. She’d prefer that other cats stay out of her space. Born in 2010, she came from a shelter in California. Checkers is diabetic and receives daily insulin shots. It’s also important that she eats before getting her injection. This quiet, older girl would do well in a forever home.

Buddy
Buddy, a 7-month-old Aussie Shepherd mix was surrendered to RSQ Dogs at the center. He is a sweet, friendly pup, understandably anxious in the shelter environment. An active, loving home would provide Buddy with the happy life he deserves. He is available as a foster to adopt when all his vetting is completed.
Seal
Seal is an approximately 4-month-old Border Collie puppy. He is a happy, healthy fellow. He is available as a foster to adopt when his vetting is completed.
Brownie
Back in March, RSQ Dogs received a call about a terrible hoarding situation in California. 30 dogs had been living unattended in a motor home. To avoid euthanasia, RSQ DOGS+ took in 6 of these pups. Brownie is approximately 2 years old. He is still skittish around people but he wants so badly to play. With patience and love, he could become your best friend and most loyal companion. A second chance for a normal life is all that Brownie is asking. He prefers a home without children.
Mason
Mason is a handsome, young Domestic Short Hair. He is house trained and would do well in a home with other cats or alone. Mason is looking for the purrfect home. Could it be yours?
Star
RSQ Dogs got Star with her kittens from a rural area. Her kittens are all grown up and in their forever homes. Star is now ready to find her loving family. She loves people and her bed. She’s very quiet and loves her sleep. She is house trained and would be good in a home with other cats or alone.

Fiona
Fiona is a lovely young dog, approximately 1-2 years of age. She loves to cuddle with people, plays well with friendly dogs and lost her home when she was abandoned when her folks moved away and left her with no food. Fiona and three of her puppies survived by eating the other animals that died from starvation. Five of her puppies did not survive. Though young and put through a very stressful situation with her puppies, she has done an excellent job and has remained loving and loyal to people. Her puppies are finding families that will love them forever and it’s time for Fiona to also find her ever after family. Her adoption fee is $125. They are now taking applications on her. To meet her, call (435) 773-5209.
Jade
Jade is one of the terrific adoptable dogs at That BAM Place in Hurricane, UT. You can see what a beautiful girl Jade is but she’s not just a pretty face–she knows “sit”, of course, but will listen and is keen to learn if there is a treat to be had. Jade is a young adult at approximately one-year-old. Jade knows how to use a dog door, loves to play with squeaky balls, enjoys chewing on hard bones, walks well on a leash and plays with their other dogs (large and small). BAM recently took Jade to the vet after she jumped off of something and limped. They found that she may have some arthritis in her elbow but short walks and regular play are still great exercises for her. BAM also learned there that she may have lived with cats previously as the clinic cat was practically rubbing on her with little more reaction than a sniff. If you are interested in Jade please text or call Julie at (435) 773-5209.
Oscar
Meet BAM’s handsome, adoptable Oscar!! We know. He doesn’t look poodle/springer but that’s what his DNA says. Oscar is the youngest 10 year old you’ll likely ever meet. He’s filled with seemingly boundless energy, he knows his basic commands, he gets along with other dogs and all of the people he’s had the opportunity to meet. Oscar was adopted 9 years ago and has had one family during that time. Unfortunately, they recently made a move that he was unable to make with them so he is looking for a forever family. Oscar has previously been given the opportunity to go on unaccompanied walkabouts. Because of this, he has developed the habit of going over the fence to roam. He comes with his own cable that could go in his yard but what he would like most is room to roam or a very secure yard for when he isn’t hanging out inside with his peeps. Oscar recently had a dental and a malignant tumor removed from his side which the vet believes was removed entirely. To adopt or learn more about Oscar, text or call Julie at (435) 773-5209.
Sabrina
After being hit by a car, little Sabrina spent 8 weeks in a cast while her bones healed. She’s 10 years old but loves to adventure by car, trail, or river. Snuggles are her favorite, but she’s not a couch potato. Sabrina lives with several big dogs and enjoys their company. Never once have they heard her bark. Sabrina would be great in any home but, even with her cast off, she will still need tender care until her bones are strong. Sabrina does require daily medication for an enlarged heart but nothing stops this little dog from living life to its fullest. They are still working on house training, but the process is slow due to her broken bones. Sabrina sleeps through the night without urinating and does not urinate on the carpet but will on tile. Her cast may be at fault, and now with it removed, she’ll be more agile and move more easily. To meet Sabrina or find out more about her, contact Andrea or A.J. at (612) 756-2374. Sabrina’s adoption fee is $100 and she is also eligible for their Seniors Helping Seniors Program.
Nellie
Nellie is an active 7-year-old basset/pit mix. She is good with other dogs (including her 3 foster sisters) and cats. She is house trained with a pet door, likes to cuddle and play tug of war. She’s a 3 ft tall counter surfer if not watched. Nellie is good on and off leash on her daily walks. She is a great walking/hiking companion and needs lots of chewable and squeaky toys. Nellie’s adoption fee is $125. To meet Nellie, contact David at (435) 862-2207.
