Stryker, a 1 1/2-year-old Border collie mix came to RSQ Dogs as an owner surrender. He has an amazing tri-color coat and weighs about 40 lbs. Mr. Pugsouthern utah adoptable pets Mr Pug

Say hello to Mr. Pug, a young Shepherd mix who loves to play. He’s got a gorgeous thick coat and feet and a beguiling smile. He’s been practicing walking on a leash and once trained would be a great hiking or jogging buddy. An active, loving family would make Mr. Pug a very happy boy. He would do well in a home with other dogs or alone. (He was listed as a Pug at the Hildale impound, hence his unusual name)

Banditsouthern utah adoptable pets Bandit

Bandit is a 1-2-year-old black lab mix. He has that loving lab personality and gets along well with other dogs. He is also a bit of an escape artist so a well-fenced yard is an important element if adoption is a consideration. Bandit would make a great hiking buddy or just a good friend to hang around with.

Finnicksouthern utah adoptable pets FINNICK

Finn is such a lover! He makes an excellent lap dog and one of his favorite activities is getting belly scratches. He truly loves his people. He is completely house trained (with doggy door) but, like all male dogs, he may mark a time or two in a new home. He enjoys laying in the sun and sniffing around outside. Finn has been very friendly to every person he has met. He hasn’t been tested with children, but there hasn’t been anything to indicate he wouldn’t do well with respectful children. He gets along with all dogs in his foster home. Finn is still working on not jumping up on people when greeting them. Ideally, Finn would like a doggie friend to play with. He is somewhat submissive so would do best with a friend who is not too dominating. Finn has been known to jump up on the table or go through the garbage if he thinks he might find a tasty treat. They don’t know anything about Finn’s background but they do know he will roll to his back submissively whenever he’s scared and will cower sometimes. He’s not a big barker but will howl occasionally. Finn quickly made himself a favorite of volunteers and of his foster parents so should have no difficulty having you fall in love with him too. His adoption fee is $125. To make an appointment to meet Finn, call (435) 773-5209.

Dollysouthern utah adoptable pets DollysMomsouthern utah adoptable pets DOLLY

Dolly is a typical puppy who loves puppy play. She does have very sharp teeth and may not be a match for young children without close adult supervision. She will chew toys, shoes, etc until she gets a bit older and those teeth will hurt if she decides to chew on a hand or foot of a toddler. They really don’t know what Dolly is but they have included a picture of her mother. She appears to be part Australian Cattle Dog based on her appearance. While her mother is a medium-sized dog, Dolly gives indications that she might grow up to be a medium or large sized dog (60 lbs or over). Be prepared for that if adopting. Dolly is seeking a foster-to-adopt home at this time with the adoption being finalized at the time she is spayed. Her adoption fee at that time will be $150. To apply, please complete an application to adopt and call (435) 773-5209 to set a time to meet Dolly.

Tobysouthern utah adoptable pets TOBY

Toby is absolutely the happiest little dog you will ever want to meet. His tail is always going and he always has a smile on his face. He’s an active little guy who knows exactly what he wants out of life and aims to go about getting it. Right now he wants a family of his own. When he’s frightened or there’s too much chaos around him, Toby can get a wee bit snappy. For that reason, they do not recommend young children for him although older, respectful, dog savvy teen should be fine. He just needs to be left alone when frightened until he calms down and he has good recovery so it doesn’t take long. He absolutely loves lap sitting and playing with other dogs his size (he’s nervous around some big dogs). His adoption fee is $175. To meet Toby call Phyllis at (435) 705-9227. You will definitely fall in love with this little guy!

Clevelandsouthern utah adoptable pets Cleveland

Cleveland is a gentle, sensitive dog who is working on coming out of his shell with people. He is very shy with almost everyone he meets, and he will try to run away when he is afraid. Born in 2012, he eats a prescription diet to aid in his digestion. It takes Cleveland a while to adjust to changes in his routine, but he is ready to start experiencing more of the world. He already loves going for walks, enjoys treats and toys and rides well in the car. Cleveland loves other dogs and feels braver around them. Routine also helps him gain trust and confidence. When he’s feeling secure, he gets silly and wiggly and shows his sweet smile. Cleveland will need a home with a gentle, patient person and would do best with a friendly role model dog.

Waldosouthern utah adoptable pets Waldo

Waldo is a happy, loving, and tolerant dog. He is so incredibly friendly that no one is ever a stranger to him. Born in 2010, Waldo came to the Sanctuary from a Best Friends Network Partner in Louisiana. Because of his medical conditions, he is considered hospice. Waldo would love to be in a home where he can be loved, pampered and cared for. He’d enjoy going for walks and just chilling out with his family. Waldo takes prescription medication and is on a prescription diet. He’s done well with all dogs he’s met at the Sanctuary, though he cannot live with cats. Waldo wants nothing more than to spend the rest of his life in a comfortable and loving home. He’s looking for a person or family who can give him the care and attention he deserves, and he promises to give lots of love in return.

Sashasouthern utah adoptable pets Sasha

Sasha is so pretty that people would gladly line up to meet her, but she’s quite shy with strangers at first. She does best with adults she knows and trusts, and she enjoys being around those in her inner circle. Sasha was born in 2011. She currently lives in a foster home with a Best Friends animal behavior consultant and will need to find a special home with a mature and dog-savvy person who can continue working with her. Since she has shown aggression toward other dogs and cats, Sasha cannot live with other animals. She gets anxious when she is left alone. She will jump fences, and may even chew through them. She is able to break out of crates as well. Sasha likes to play with toys and go for walks. She is looking for a home where she’ll be safe and secure and where the right person will love and care for her.
