Roady
Looking for a smart dog who loves to learn? Roady knows basic training cues and is crate and muzzle trained. He’s also learning leash manners. While he loves going for walks, he is reactive to other dogs while he is on a leash. However, Roady is working hard with his caregivers to improve his leash skills. An affectionate dog, Roady adores people. He enjoys hanging out and going for rides. His favorite things in life include snuggles and belly rubs. He also loves food puzzles and chew toys. Roady can be picky with his doggie friends, and it takes him a while to feel comfortable even with the right ones. But once he does, he can hang out and walk with them with ease. Roady was born in 2010. He was found as a stray before he came to Best Friends and is eager to find a forever home. Roady is part of Best Friends Single Pets* program! That means that he is eligible for a free flight home and waived adoption fee!*Single pets do best as the only dog or cat in the home.
Bunny
Bunny’s eyes say it all: “I’m not sure if you’re nice, or if you might hurt me.” Since she was originally found as a stray in Arizona, no one knows what she’s endured in her past. Whatever it was, it’s made her quite fearful and cautious around people she doesn’t know. Although Bunny keeps her distance until she’s sure she can trust you, she is happy and excited after that and enjoys being petted. She also loves to play with toys and other dogs. She’ll need to find a very stable home where she can take comfort in a reliable routine. She is also looking for someone who is patient and will work to earn her trust. She promises it will be well worth it.
Tuco
Tuco is a sweet dog who loves attention. He enjoys playing with people, but he also likes to just hang out with them. Water and jolly balls are his two favorite “toys.? He loves these things so much that it can be difficult to pull him away from them. Born in 2015, Tuco came to Best Friends from a shelter in California. He will guard food and has shown other guarding behaviors. Tuco also has some handling issues, especially during medical checkups. He especially doesn’t like having his feet or ears touched. His caregivers at the Sanctuary are working with him to decrease his food guarding and to improve his ability to be handled. Tuco has done well with all the dogs he’s met at the Sanctuary and has even passed a cat test here. He has also lived with small dogs successfully before. When the weather is warm, Tuco could happily live in the Dogtown dog park pool, but he’d be even happier to go home with you.
Marilee
Marilee is an independent girl, both with people and other cats. Born in 2013, she came from a Utah animal shelter. Marilee is a polydactyl with two extra toes on each foot; she has seven on each front paw and six on each back. She would probably do well in a home where she was either an only cat or lived with other shy or mellow cats. Marilee’s previous person went into a nursing home; she just might do well living with elderly people and has the potential to become a lap cat in the right setting.
Cisco
Cisco has a personality that’s larger than life. He will greet you at the door, climb on your shoulders, and nuzzle into your neck, all while purring loudly. He loves to play with other cats. Born in 2013, he came from a shelter in California. Cisco has both Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) and Feline Leukemia (FeLV). He will need to live with other cats who have FeLV or be separated from cats who don’t have the virus. He also has diabetes insipidus, for which he gets eye drops. Cisco adapts easily to new situations and he’d love the chance to capture your heart.
Snowbie
Meet one of the legendary ‘rafter cats’ at Best Friends! Cats like these make wonderful companions–from–afar. You can’t hold them or pet them–at least, not yet. But they think and feel and love, just like the rest of us. And if you give them the chance, they can be a real part of your home. They just haven’t had any experience of being pets. Snowbie is a gorgeous cat with stunning blue eyes. He was born in 2016 and came to Best Friends after his person passed away. He does fine with other cats. Shy cats like these have always been an important part of Best Friends’ culture. They have special spirits and deep personalities. And this beautiful cat would love to be a part of your life.

Bentley
Bentley is a big sweet bundle of hound dog love. She gets along well with children and other dogs. She was recently returned to the center as she is something of an escape artist and her owners were unable to keep her in the yard. If you’ve got a big heart and a big well-secured yard, Bentley would be a great addition to your family.
Toto
Adorable Toto was found as a stray a Hildale. At 35 lbs. and approximately one-year-old, he is a happy and playful pup. He gets along well with other dogs and children. As a doodle mix, he will require grooming. Toto would make a loving addition to any family.

He is currently living in a foster home with a ‘herd’ of other little dogs and getting along well. After being someone’s faithful companion for 5 years doesn’t Simon deserve a better ending?

Jade
Jade is one of the terrific adoptable dogs at That BAM Place in Hurricane, UT. You can see what a beautiful girl Jade is but she’s not just a pretty face–she knows “sit”, of course, but will listen and is keen to learn if there is a treat to be had. Jade is a young adult at approximately one-year-old. Jade knows how to use a dog door, loves to play with squeaky balls, enjoys chewing on hard bones, walks well on a leash and plays with their other dogs (large and small). BAM recently took Jade to the vet after she jumped off of something and limped. They found that she may have some arthritis in her elbow but short walks and regular play are still great exercises for her. BAM also learned there that she may have lived with cats previously as the clinic cat was practically rubbing on her with little more reaction than a sniff. If you are interested in Jade please text or call Julie at (435) 773-5209.
Oscar
Meet BAM’s handsome, adoptable Oscar!! We know. He doesn’t look poodle/springer but that’s what his DNA says. Oscar is the youngest 10 year old you’ll likely ever meet. He’s filled with seemingly boundless energy, he knows his basic commands, he gets along with other dogs and all of the people he’s had the opportunity to meet. Oscar was adopted 9 years ago and has had one family during that time. Unfortunately, they recently made a move that he was unable to make with them so he is looking for a forever family. Oscar has previously been given the opportunity to go on unaccompanied walkabouts. Because of this, he has developed the habit of going over the fence to roam. He comes with his own cable that could go in his yard but what he would like most is room to roam or a very secure yard for when he isn’t hanging out inside with his peeps. Oscar recently had a dental and a malignant tumor removed from his side which the vet believes was removed entirely. To adopt or learn more about Oscar, text or call Julie at (435) 773-5209.
Fiona
Fiona is a lovely young dog, approximately 1-2 years of age. She loves to cuddle with people, plays well with friendly dogs and lost her home when she was abandoned when her folks moved away and left her with no food. Fiona and three of her puppies survived by eating the other animals that died from starvation. Five of her puppies did not survive. Though young and put through a very stressful situation with her puppies, she has done an excellent job and has remained loving and loyal to people. Her puppies are finding families that will love them forever and it’s time for Fiona to also find her ever after family. Her adoption fee is $125. They are now taking applications on her. To meet her, call (435) 773-5209.
Sabrina
After being hit by a car, little Sabrina spent 8 weeks in a cast while her bones healed. She’s 10 years old but loves to adventure by car, trail, or river. Snuggles are her favorite, but she’s not a couch potato. Sabrina lives with several big dogs and enjoys their company. Never once have they heard her bark. Sabrina would be great in any home but, even with her cast off, she will still need tender care until her bones are strong. Sabrina does require daily medication for an enlarged heart but nothing stops this little dog from living life to its fullest. They are still working on house training, but the process is slow due to her broken bones. Sabrina sleeps through the night without urinating and does not urinate on the carpet but will on tile. Her cast may be at fault, and now with it removed, she’ll be more agile and move more easily. To meet Sabrina or find out more about her, contact Andrea or A.J. at (612) 756-2374. Sabrina’s adoption fee is $100 and she is also eligible for their Seniors Helping Seniors Program.
Toby
Toby is absolutely the happiest little dog you will ever want to meet. His tail is always going and he always has a smile on his face. He’s an active little guy who knows exactly what he wants out of life and aims to go about getting it. Right now he wants a family of his own. When he’s frightened or there’s too much chaos around him, Toby can get a wee bit snappy. For that reason, they do not recommend young children for him although older, respectful, dog savvy teen should be fine. He just needs to be left alone when frightened until he calms down and he has good recovery so it doesn’t take long. He absolutely loves lap sitting and playing with other dogs his size (he’s nervous around some big dogs). His adoption fee is $175. To meet Toby call Phyllis at (435) 705-9227. You will definitely fall in love with this little guy!
Ozzie
Ozzie is a blond chihuahua mix who is approximately 3 to 5 years old. He is housebroken with a doggie door. He is very playful and energetic and loves to be loved. He is a very sweet little dog! Ozzie’s adoption fee is $125. To meet him, contact Phyllis at (435) 705-9227.
Nellie
Nellie is an active 7-year-old basset/pit mix. She is good with other dogs (including her 3 foster sisters) and cats. She is house trained with a pet door, likes to cuddle and play tug of war. She’s a 3 ft tall counter surfer if not watched. Nellie is good on and off leash on her daily walks. She is a great walking/hiking companion and needs lots of chewable and squeaky toys. Nellie’s adoption fee is $125. To meet Nellie, contact David at (435) 862-2207.
